Being banned with an item loaned out?

Just wondering if any of you have been banned while you have an item loaned out, and if so did the person you loaned it to get it taken from them after the loan period.

Weird ass question, and I dunno how it crossed my mind, but yeah.

 

Never actually heard of that happening, but I'm 99.9% sure that the item would just be returned to the person after the loan period ended, regardless of the account being banned.

 

Yeah I kinda figure that, but then again I am curious...I might lend a rune item to one of my accounts and then suicide the hell out of the account that lended in an attempt to test this.

 

not a bad idea id like to find this out, even though i dont see how this could be useful unless you got totally lucky off a random.

 

It isn't (or at least wasn't) actually that hard to get people banned lol, even if it isn't a perm ban.

 

Of course it will return to the banned account... Jagex isn't that glitchy.

Why waste time even testing that? The lending system will work just the same as it does normally. The item will go back to the lender regardless of them being banned..

 

Like above, the item contains a Duration. When the duration has ended the item will return to the Owner. No matter if the Owner is banned or not, the item will just be in the Inbox until the player is Unbanned.

 

when your banned doesn't mean your account cant have any activity on it they temporarily ban your account so technically you should be able to receive the item back

 

A more interesting question: What about a jagroll?

 

This is what happens with lent items... The item is stored in the lenders account (in the return box) but it is unavailable to be taken out.

Then a duplicate of the item is given to the person who lent it for the duration of time they lent it for.

The only theoretical glitch is having your item while the other person still has it on lend (if you could find a way to remove it from the unremovable box).

 

No it wont change anything it's just Jagex lowering your stats.

It would go back to the owner. If this worked, I'm sure someone would have tried it before during the trade restrictions as a transfer method, and if it did work, it would probably have been leaked.

 

they'd probably get it back, but who knows?

 

This is what exactly happens. My account got banned for a certain amount of time. Got back on checked returned item box and there my items was.

 

It'll return to your account.

as a matter of fact the item never gets removed from the account that would get banned. it gets moved to a temporarily bank space. the account borrowing the item gets a duplicate of the original item with another item id.
therefor borrowed items cant be stolen.
