Why camping is better than rushing

It comes down to winning.

In TDM you are simply giving the opposing team points by dying constantly while you run around like a chicken without a head. And in objective play you are suppose to camp near the objective to win.

By staying alive longer you can build up those long killstreaks with greater ease also.

 

Rushcamp does the trick I think.

 

I use to play Combat Arms.

I would just rush people with my sniper rifle/pistol and shoot them when I saw them. I didn't just wait in a corner unless I was at certain choke points, or I knew that they'd be there. I was able to get 9-10 kill streaks in rapid succession for Unbelievable ++++'s Each kill was 2-3 seconds apart.

Rushing simply makes you a better player. Sitting in a corner waiting for someone to come by does not make you better at all.

 

It's all about controlling an area. I have had my greatest games patrolling specific chokepoints and high traffic areas. I don't stay in the exact same spot all of the time but instead move from one vantage point to another to throw the other players off, but I still control that same general area just from a different angle.

 

I generally push to the enemy teams spawn, then lay low, and control the area. This is how you achieve those high kill streaks, by controlling major choke points on maps.

 

I like to say I "hold down a position" (e.g. a building) rather than just saying I camp. In Black Ops, for example, I'll put a claymore at one of the entrances, then go upstairs and look for people walking around, then periodically go back down and check the other doors. I almost never just stay crouched in a corner for more than 5 seconds.

 

I usually stay moving near the enemy objective because camping hasn't worked for me.

 

i dont camp anymore, that makes the game boring and i play for fun.
i now play on ground war and i rush every game, needless to say im always top scorer and my kd is atleast two. the only times i lose is when my teammates are incompetent and have autism or if i cant seem to carry my team through a game of domination.

 

I rarely camp, I rarely rush. I simply use a little bit of strategy and tactic in movements. Flanking/cover/concealment etc. I know thats unheard of to most COD players.

If you put pressure on your opponent they are more likely to make mistakes.

 

Rushing and camping are both stupid as they are at both extremes of the spectrum, play your own style and you will do better and have more fun, games were made for fun and if your not enjoying it, then your playing it wrong

 

this makes sense, some people take games way too seriously, i could be going 1-20 and still be having fun.
some people think camping is fun and others do it because they are too serious about the game and want a high k/d

 

rushing is much more enjoyable, but i find camping will yield a better k/d.. both will win the game in general, though.

 

I don't camp because:
1. Makes you look like a bitch.
2. It's not fun at all. Sitting in a corner picking people off as they run by, herp derp.
3. While your team is trying their best to be offensive, you're hiding in a corner not helping.

 

if you know good routes around the map and where the other team is camping you should do fine

i agree with 2, camping isnt fun and games are supposed to be fun.

 

There's lots of different kinds of camping though, spawn camping for example is being so increidbly offensive that you are in their spawn yet you are still camping. Paradox, hax, bad sportsmanship? What would you class these videos as?

 

I'd call it legend!

Whatever gets you points/ wins the match is the best option some people are better at rushing.

That is way over the top. And I would definetely classify what is shown in those videos as bad sportmanship/borderline cheating.

When I try to camp the enemy spawn point I usually only get 3-5 kills before getting killed.

 

I play Battlefield Bad company 2 and my teams are always rushing.

Camping is okay but I don't really camp, I'm constantly moving and rushing in stealth because in BC2, It's very easy to find campers so you've to constantly change locations.

But of course, If you're rushing like a retard into enemy fire, People like that should camp and save us some ticket ratio.

 

Or you could just incorporate some skill into your game and not get killed by running around like a headless chicken.
