Computer can't connect to the Internet

Hey guys.
I got a new windows 7 Home premium computer the other day.

The first day, it was running fine, I could connect online and everything.
Today, I boot up my computer and it wont let me connect! It cant even find a internet connection to connect to, and it worked yesterday!

Can anyone help me out? I'm willing to give a runescape account, high level, to anyone who can help me solve this problem.

Are you sure you are not having problems with your router?

Also, one thing to look into is updating Windows 7. I know this is impossible without an Internet connection. Try plugging in via an Ethernet cable and updating windows. If you can't get online AT ALL, let me know and I'll see if I can help further.

 

Try to ping your router at first.

In CMD type: ipconfig

Check what your gateway is. for example 192.168.1.2

Type in CMD:

ping 192.168.1.2

Check if you get a response.

 

I fixed it guys, I think it was a router problem, I replugged literally EVERYTHING in my PC and router then I made a new user account and restarted and its fixed. Windows XP connection was so much easier

 

Windows 7 hasn't ever had a problem with me. I HAVE seen some errors with it that are fixed with an update, though.
