Best Pc for botting.

So yeah, im really curious whats the best pc for botting? Pc/laptop and what spec's and the manufacturer ? Thanks.. Im thinking about this one - http://cgi.ebay.com/AMD-Six-Core-X6...0512032735?pt=Desktop_PCs&hash=item45f7e9b7df but im really curious about cooling it, is the fan enough?

 

Anything that's got a good RAM, I think.

 

Nothing wrong with that PC, but spec-wise I have:

processor - Intel core i5 2500
memory - 16gb ddr3
graphics card - nvidia gt430
etc etc

Try and go for quad core rather than a 6 core processor, more memory the better and a reasonable graphics card. My gt430 is fine or something like ati 5670 or better.

Note this wasn't bought for botting but for a home network lab.

 

If you don't plan on overclocking, most stock cooling will be fine.

If you could; buy the parts separately and put it together yourself.
And I don't know about the ram, it doesn't specify which manufacturer, timings etc...

 

Well im looking for something for botting, what actually should i look for? Do i really need very good graphic card? Also im thinking buying an 'desktop' pc and upgrading it, that is cheaper the way i saw, whats ur opinion?

You will need a graphics card, but it doesn't have to be top of the line card. As I said some mid range cards like Nvidia gt430 or ATI 5670 will do.

 

You don't really need a graphics card for botting, you could go with an integrated graphics card (in the processor) but a cheap one would be fine too.

So i dont really need graphic card? I was thinking a bout 256-512ram one, but what would be ideal processor, how many cores, how many rams for good botting? im talking about ~20 bots.

 

Well you'll need a graphics card, but it isn't really required for botting, since it relies more on your processor/ram, a GT 430 or 440 would be more than enough.

I really don't know how much RAM you'll require since some bots use more than others, and the amount you run in the same client would require you another amount of RAM.
You can always add more RAM if you want, but if you do; try to use the same model, otherwise it isn't guaranteed to work.

Same for cores, I think a i5 would do. I don't know about AMD.
Note that Intel released Sandy Bridge a few months ago, and AMD is planning to release Bulldozer procs soon.

 

Linux, with high RAM and CPU, preferably Xeon. Graphics card isn't that important.

 

All you guys say is HIGH, i need exact amounts ;/ I will buy the customized desktop PC, means i will get parts from the same seller, i need the exact numbers, if anyone good at it - please tell me
