    Staking And Luring

First off this is Success in Staking which i posted a few weeks ago, it's now in page 5 or something.. =(

SCROLL DOWN IF YOU READ SUCCESS IN STAKING ALREADY FOR THE NEW ADDITION.

sorry i made this in microsoft word and when i transferred it here it lost all the paragrahing, fonts, text sizes etc..

Success in Staking - everything you need to know before stepping into the Duel Arena.

Just recently, Jagex decided to bring back Free trade, the old loot system and staking in the duel arena. Ever since then, certain few players have been enjoying success at the Duel Arena, making billions of GP. But how exactly do they do it? In this guide you will learn how to stake, which set of rules suit you best and who you should stake.

    1. Stats
    2. Different types of staking
    3. Which set of rules suit you best
    4. Bankroll management

    1. Stats
Stats are obviously the most important thing in staking. With better stats than your opponent, half the battle is already won. Stakers must never have prayer levels as prayer levels will increase your combat level, and against someone of the same combat level as you, but with one prayer, your stats will be inferior. Therefore, prayer levels is a big no-no, unless you own a maxed account. If your serious about staking, but your current account has a few prayer levels, i would suggest you restart and rebuild a totally new account.

Attack will determine the amount of times you will successfully hit your opponent.

Strength will determine the amount of damage your opponent will be dealt with.

Defense will determine the amount of times you will avoid damage.

Range is a combined of attack and strength in the melee terms.

Magic will determine how many times you successfully hit your opponent, and determine how many times you avoid damage from a magic spell.

For different types of staking, different set of stats will work better. If you are planning to do a DDS/DSCIM/WHIP stake, you would be much better off with 70 attack, 99 strength, 1 defense and 80 hit points than a player with 70 attack 25 strength, 99 defense and 80 hit points. Both players will have the same combat level, but the 1st player will have a bigger edge.

WHY? - In a DDS/WHIP stake, all parts of armor is off. Therefore it defeats the purpose of having 99 defense - to wear stronger and better armor. Although the defense element will still help in avoiding some damage, compared to the bonus damage 99 strength will inflict, it is NOTHING. Furthermore, the dragon dagger specials and the whip will help to effectively pierce through the defense element and the 99 defense will be less effective than if it were a BOXING match.

But...but...How would you find a stake if your stats were so superior?

Let's see : Before each stake, most of your opponents would high score search you, to check your stats out and see if they have an edge over you. Unless they feel they have an edge over you, they will not stake you.

Question is, how are we going to make them feel that they DO have an edge over us, when in actual fact, we instead have the edge over them? Simple! By evading the high scores! Here are some methods that you can use to trick and deceive your opponents into thinking you have inferior stats, when in actual fact, you have them dominated!

    1) Confusing and similar display names
This works against less experienced opponents and will not work against experienced stakers. In this technique, players will try to make their names as confusing as possible, so that their opponents will find it hard to high score check them. E.g lIli1i1ilLi1 or mnmrnmnmrn However, if players look carefully they will be able to figure out your name. The good thing is most players search for the wrong name during the first time. If they search for your name but had wrongly spelled it out, they will see : XXXX does not feature in the skill tables....at least one skill.

They will then realize they have spelled it out wrongly, but keep trying till they get your correct name. So how do we trick them? By creating a new account/changing an existing account's username.

Make both accounts to have similar names, e.g : l love gps and I love gps. <- what is the difference between those two names? the first name has an L at the start whereas the second name has a I in the start! With the new runescape display name feature, you can manipulate your name easily so that both names look really alike and potential opponents will fall for it! Zeroes and Os work well too, same as M and N.

So, if you have "L love gps" as your staking account, make sure you make the "L" lowercase so it looks like an i. Next, make sure to train your decoy account "i love gps" up to the same or close combat level to "L love gps", but with crappy stats. Here is an example, "L love gps" has 70 attack, 99 strength, 1 defense, 99 hitpoints and is combat 79. Train "i love gps" till it is : 67 attack, 53 strength, 63 defense, 74 hit points and 52 prayer. It will be the exact same combat, so it will still work if opponents use a combat level calculator! If an opponent happens to mis spell it as "i love gps", he will be deceived into thinking that your stats are lousy and that you have 52 prayer which is a waste of 7 combat levels! Therefore, he will be so willing to stake you...till you 3 spec him out! You can play around with the usernames and many variations will work :)

    2) Hiding from the high scores
This can deceive too, many players but will not work will the most experienced players. This method involves hiding your stats from the high scores! For your defense to show up on the high scores, Runescape requires it to be 60. If your defense level is below 60, it will not show up on the high scores.

For attack, it is 62. Strength, 67. Hit points, 65. Prayer, 43 at 51.4k EXP. Ranged at 56. Magic too, at 56.

You can use this to your advantage by having an account like :

    70 attack
    84 strength
    59 defense
    80 hit points

And be at just 84 combat. Most players will assume that you have prayer and your defense is low and will stake you with their 60 - 99 - 1 , 80 hitpoints accounts, which you will have an advantage over.

Another example for range staking ( with ammo on, and weapon on, ranged only, armour all off ) :

    55 ranged
    64 hit points

This way you will be only 42 combat and other players will see nothing when they high score you! You can also mix it up with different stat builds.

In 2007, i used to stake using the build #1. I was 75 combat or so, with my stats lower than the example given.
Many lv.64s were willing to stake me as they assumed that my stats sucked as only my attack showed on highscores ( and it was a mistake ). I forgot my exact stats and combat levels, but it was very effective. Lower levels were willing to stake me, and my defense gave me an edge over them despite their higher strength.

    2. Different types of staking and what set of rules suit you best.

Boxing - Basically nothing is turned on except for melee. Players either use attack styled punch, strength styled aggressive kicks or defensive punches against one another. In this area of staking, Defense and attack is the most important. Strength is less important than attack and defense. The ability of hitting more accurately and avoiding more damage is more important than inflicting higher damage each time.

If you are unable to get the first hit, boxing might be the right thing for you. In box matches, first hit does not give alot of advantage and it is fine if you do not get the first hit. If you are maxed and you want to box, it is really pointless as most matches are just 50/50. Certain PROS claim than switching attack styles during the match gives you an edge. I don't believe in that, and even if it does, it's just a tiny tiny edge. Therefore, boxing matches are just like a coinflip.

If you want to get an edge over most matches, however, it is possible.

If your stats are : 61 attack, 40 strength and 59 defense along with 64 hit points, none of your stats will show up on high scores and most opponents will think that you are just a newbie and a prey. Your combat will be 63. Other players , pures, will have the best stats of 60 attack, 88 strength and 64 hit points. Against them you have an edge. Furthermore, most of them will have 31 - 43 prayer, and most of the times they will have a strength of 75 - 78 only, giving you a big edge over them. You can play around with the stats.

Rapier - Mostly seen on maxed accounts. Armor is all turned off, only leaving a weapon slot. No special attacks are given and both players use a Chaotic Rapier, obtained in dungeoneering. 80 Dungeoneering is required to obtain this weapon, said to be the best dps in Runescape.

It gives a 101 strength bonus, and hits about 140 on average. Lunge and stab are the recommended styles. The 140 damage on average makes the first hit very crucial. If you are unable to get the first hit majority of the time when it is movement OFF, i suggest you either try it with movement ON or switch to other forms of staking. First hitting in Rapier matches is just too important. In movement ON, practise is what makes perfect. Try to fun your friends/other players and practise getting the first hit, soon you will get the hang of it.

Mage Boxing - Players do not equip anything and movement if off. Usually it is started with a smoke or shadow barrage then followed by blood barrages or blitzs all the way through. First hitting is crucial here too. If you do not have the ability to first hit majority of the times, this isn't a very good type of stake to do. Magic, defense and hit points levels are really what matters.

Special on melee - Similar to the rapier, but with the special attacks turned on. Most people claim to be "DDSING" ( dragon dagger special attack ) but they will use a staff of light instead. The staff of light allows them to absorb 50% of whatever damage you deal towards them.
Strategy i Use : However, i find that the Enhanced Excalibur special attack is more effective if you have completed Seers Elite tasks.

The special attack will then heal you for 400 hit points over a period of 20 seconds + it gives you a 15% boost to your defense. Not only that, you can switch to the rapier once you have activated the special attack and still enjoy the benefits of it. Thus, this method can counter the Staff of Light Special.

Special on range - Basically players wield nothing except for the weapon slot and ammo ( optional ). Players will start with a Morg Jav (p++) special attack twice, then either switch to obby rings or rune knives. If players are below ranged 78, special attack should be turned off.

Strategy I use : If special attack is ON, then i will use the morg javs ( p++ ) special attack twice, before switching to rune knives if against 1 defense and obby rings if against higher defense. IF i am winning throughout, i will not switch to the crossbow/javs. However, if i am losing and am about to be killed soon, i will switch to rune cross bow with dragon bolts (E) or Morg javs if ammo is turned off. This is because it will still give me a chance to make a come back.

Imagine : You have 200 lp left and your opponent has 350. If you continue to throw the obby rings/rune knives, the chances of you winning are slim already as both of you, if with equal stats, will deal about the same damage. If you change to a rune c'bow though, you still stand a chance as the rune c'bow is capable of doing high damage.

Special off range - Same strategy as special on range, just without the Javs part.

Armour On staking - Hardly any of these goes on, but if you ever partake in these stakes, make sure you only stake if you have the best armor. If you have rune while he has torags, you stand close to zero percent of winning unless you get really lucky.

If both of you are maxed, i suggest staking armour on only if you have TORVA, Fury, Barrow Gloves, Dragon Boots, Ring of Recoil, Fire cape and chaotic rapier/longsword. If not, he might have TORVA and have you totally dominated.

    4) Bankroll management

Now your knowledge of staking should have increased significantly. But this last section is the most important, and it determines whether you succeed of fail. If you don't follow proper Bankroll Management, chances are, your going to get cleaned, real quick.

Bankroll Management refers to how to manage your Gps. If you have 200M, should you stake 50M at a go? How much should you stake?

I recommend and use an aggressive bankroll management, as i only stake players whom i feel i have an edge over. Therefore, i would recommend you have at least 15 stakes. If you plan to stake 10M, have 150M. If you plan to stake 100M, have 1500M.

If however, you stake 50M at once when you only have 150M it will only take 3 losses streak to get you cleaned! Even if you have an edge over your opponent , this still can and WILL happen! Heard of the Black Swan?

Therefore, bankroll management is very crucial is your success in staking. Follow it tightly and move up slowly but steadily!

Yes, i know that some players go from 20m - 7B within a week, or just a few days. But imagine if one huge stake just went wrong, would they still be bragging about their wins?

Remember that staking is a mixture of luck and skill, and tactics with theories. Even if you have the skill, correct theories and tactics, but luck isn't on your side, you can still lose even if your a 90/10 favourite!

Now this is the new addition
Making the most out of the Duel Arena, Wilderness and Clan Wars in the new Free trade.
On the 2nd of Feb, Jagex decided to bring back the old PvP loot system, unbalanced trades and the ability to stake any amount you wish in the duels. Many old-school players knew this was the opportunity to make millions and even billions of GP by exploiting the weaknesses of the less aware players. They profited tons of GP. Now you will know how too!

To start off staking, I highly recommend you read my Free Guide on Success in Staking. This guide will teach you the basic tricks and manipulations of staking.
Here is where you can find it : http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1021386
It covers all the basics of staking, the common tricks and provides tips on how to stake, and how to win.

    The Zeal Trick

The zeal trick is about deceiving your opponent on your stat level. You can have 99 ranged, but when your opponent high scores you, they will only see you as 60 range or so, depending on how you want to do it.

Basically you will accumulate large amount of zeal’s, preferably with a bot. If you want to melee stake, try to get your strength to show on the high scores, but make it such in a way that it is just high enough to be searched in the high scores, but not too high till you will scare away potential victims of your trick! To find out the minimum level in the desired stat you need to be shown in the high scores, simply go to Runescape homepage > high scores > click the desired stat > search for rank 2,000,000.

So, for strength it is level 67. Try to make your strength level ~70 so it will not be too obvious. Once you are ready and have loads of Zeal accumulated, login into a world with high staking traffic ( 22, 132 ). MAKE SURE IT IS A WEEKEND, DUEL ARENA IS USUALLY DEAD ON WEEKDAYS!

Then, head over to the Soul Wars mini-game and exchange the Zeals for your desired stat. Now you will have 99 strength, or whatever your zeal gets you, but on the highscores, you will be only ~70 strength! Players who search you on highscores will be fooled into thinking that they are going to dominate you and maybe even 2x – 3x your stake, till they realize…BAM! You can also do this for magic, ranged, attack, defense and even hit points!

Just remember, this will effectively last for only 6 hours. Jagex will prompt you to logout and take a break after every 6 hours. Once you logout and relog, your stats will be refreshed on the high scores. During this period, make sure you make the best out of it! You can profit loads and loads.

Once, I was ‘scammed’ 20M by a dude who used this trick. He was 58 ranged on the high scores and challenged me to a ranged vs melee no special attacks. I of course, immediately agreed. He then whipped out obby rings and a rune crossbow ( reqs 61 range to wield ) and owned me. Try not to make it so obvious by following his example. I immediately knew he used the zeal trick as you needed 61 range to wield the rune c’bow and stopped staking him.

    Expected Value and Probability

Staking is all about EV and Probability. It may require skill in Magic boxing obstacles ON, but in most other duels, it is mainly luck and chance. Of course, getting the first hit plays a SUPER important role too.

Players who go from 20M – 2000M in a day are not considered as good stakers. They are just lucky. Very, very lucky. Those people are the 1 or 2 out of a thousand people tried their luck in staking. They stake recklessly and usually stake almost or a huge portion of their bank in a go, which is definitely not correct. They could win 5 stakes in a row, but once they lose a major stake, POOM, its over.

Let’s say we are staking with MAXED accounts against other MAXED accounts. In boxing, it is mainly 50/50. If you manage to get the first hit 100% of the times, it is about 52/48 in your favor. In rapier matches, if you get the first hit 100% of the times, it is about 62/38 in your favor. If you read “Success in Staking”, you will understand that because in boxing, the average hit of each punch is much lower than the average hit of each rapier attack, first hit matters much less in a boxing match.

Therefore, if you are capable of getting the first hit every time, you should stake steady amounts and over a large sample size, you will surely be a winner. Of course, shit happens. You can, and you WILL lose 6 times in a row and wonder what bull shit this is. Don’t worry, though, over the long run, you will definitely be a winner if you get the first hit always!

Even in boxing, after a million 1M gp stakes, you will definitely get a profit of 20 000M give or take a few hundred million. However, In a sample size of 20 stakes, you might be losing a few million. This is perfectly fine, as 20 stakes is just too small to judge anything. This is very similar to real life trading or Poker. You will need a large sample size to get a conclusion. That’s why if you want to be a consistent winner in staking, you will have to look long term and look forward to steady but slow gains, not sudden rags to riches stories…

Expected Value is how much you should have won. So for example, in a boxing match where you staked 1B, you get the first hit. Your expected value should be +20M. You should always try to get as much EV as possible. Because a positive EV means that you have made the right decision. However, shit does happen. You can have a positive EV of hundreds of millions but still be losing money. Luck. There’s still an element of luck. But fret not, once you stake long enough, over many many many stakes, you will surely be a winner if you have been doing things right.

Some players ask higher leveled players to 2x or 3x their stake. So when should you 2x/3x their stake so that your decision is +EV and is right?
To be 2xing the opponent, you will need 66/33 odds to break even. That means you need to win 2 out of 3 stakes. Unless you are confident that your odds are at least 70/30, then or even better 75/25, then you should accept the stake.

3xing is almost the same. You will need 75/25 odds to break even, That means you have to win 3 out of 4 stakes every time to break even. Hence, unless you feel you can win 80% - 99% of the time, then you should accept his stake.

    The Martingale Theory

    From Wikipedia :
Originally, martingale referred to a class of betting strategies that was popular in 18th century France.[1] The simplest of these strategies was designed for a game in which the gambler wins his stake if a coin comes up heads and loses it if the coin comes up tails. The strategy had the gambler double his bet after every loss so that the first win would recover all previous losses plus win a profit equal to the original stake. As the gambler's wealth and available time jointly approach infinity, his probability of eventually flipping heads approaches 1, which makes the martingale betting strategy seem like a sure thing. However, the exponential growth of the bets eventually bankrupts its users.

The concept of martingale in probability theory was introduced by Paul Pierre Lévy, and much of the original development of the theory was done by Joseph Leo Doob among others. Part of the motivation for that work was to show the impossibility of successful betting strategies.
Sounds very familiar? Used it before? I’m sure you did. Many Runescape players think that the Martingale strategy is a sure-win strategy. Yes, it is a sure win if one has an unlimited Bankroll and time, and one is able to control his emotions well. My father and I discussed this for quite a bit of time.

Yes, the theory does work and makes sense, but in reality it will never take off. WHY?

    Greed. Emotions. Patience.

These are the 3 things that destroy the theory.
In a boxing match if you apply martingale, the chances of you losing X times in a row is :
    2 – ¼
    3 – 1/8
    4 – 1/16
    5 - 1/32
    6 – 1/64
    7 – 1/128
    8 – 1/256
    9 – 1/512
    10 – 1/1024

If you do it 7 times in a row, the chance of you losing 7 times in a row is 1/128. Think that it is small? Well it still happens. If you really want to be safe, you will need at least enough bankroll for 10 times.
Let’s say you want to profit 1M.

    You will need :
    1M + 2M + 4M + 8M + 16M + 32M + 64M + 128M + 256M + 512M
    = 1023M

Risk 1B to make a 1M profit ( 0.1% profit ). And there is still a chance of you losing all 1B! ( 0.1%! ) The human nature will be like “Ah **** it, 0.1% profit each time? WHAT?” Therefore, most of us only start with the required money for 5 tries or even less, as we feel too confident that we won’t be THAT unlucky. Then, we get devoured by chance and lose all of our money.

We are also overwhelmed by our emotions sometimes, therefore leading to failure. Patience and greed together also eats us up, as we are too eager to own our first partyhat.

My conclusion : Martingale will work, if you have unlimited bankroll and time. If you have patience, am not greedy and able to control your emotions and you practise proper bankroll management, go for it. If not, failure is coming in your way!

    Proper Bankroll Management

This is what kills even the luckiest staker. Proper bankroll management. Ask a poker player what is the most important aspect of winning in poker games. Every winning and mentally sound player will tell you “Bankroll management”. Just why is it SO important?

I can’t help by emphasize on its importance. It decides who fails and who succeeds, who becomes rich and who gets cleaned.

A common example of the never-succeeding player can found easily in Runescape. They stake huge portions of their bank, hoping to get rich, get unlucky, is cleaned. Next, they head on to Green drags or other forms of money making methods, make another MIL, go to the duel arena, stake it…
If they lose, they repeat the cycle.

However, if they win, they constantly double their stake. 1m -> 2m -> 4m….> 0gp As they so badly want to chase their losses. Look, just once loss will cause you to cripple and repeat the vicious cycle. Why go through it, I ask.

They will never succeed. The math and probability is against them. It’s a vicious cycle. Unless they change and wisen up, they will always remain cleaned and broke.

How then, do you practise proper bankroll management skills and succeed? Always have a set amount of “stakes”. If you stake 1M each time, it is best to have 15 – 30 stakes. ( 15m – 30m ), etc. This way, if you hit a seriously unlucky streak, you will be able to stomach the losses and continue staking. With this big enough bankroll, you will also not be emotionally affected if you lose. ( for those who stake for GP then sell it )

Once you hit 30m – 60m, you can consider moving up to 2M stakes or so and continue. If your staking strategy is solid, and you follow the : Success in Staking guide, you will definitely see profits and enjoy success. However, if you are doing it wrong ( staking when you are at a disadvantage or going into stakes where it is negative EV ), you will not see success and meet failure instead.

This is when you rethink and recreate your strategries. If you are unable to get first hit and therefore is losing a huge amount of chance because of that, try staking only with movement on and make sure you know how to obtain the first hit majority of the times. Be willing to try different techniques and spend time funning with your friends to see which technique works best.

An example I gave out in the Success in Staking was the enchanced Excalibur + rapier vs Staff of light. Always look out and try to discover new styles of staking. You will need a lot of patience too, and patience plays a key role in success.

Another can be a DDS vs SOL stake in OBS ON where after you spec your enemy, you just run around in the obstacles ( have to do it skillfully ) and let the poison kill him.

PS : Just after I finished this, I read sparc’s staking guide about taking out 5M and once you lose your done. That is a fucking stupid mentality and I hope you don’t follow it. Staking is all about math and probability. If your strategy is solid, you will win in the long run. Taking out 5M and once you lose it your done is just a cut-loss strategy for GAMBLING, not solid strats.

That is all for staking, moving on to Luring.

    How Luring Works

Basically you trick the victim into following you into the wilderness/dangerous clan wars and you kill them. Other forms of luring include making them skull so they lose their items, or giving them items that high-alch more than their item. ( However, the street price of their item is higher than the total combined street price of the item(s) that you give them ) For e.g the common dragon battle axe/whip lure.

There are many forms of luring. Some lures require you to be a good talker, others do not. I will be sharing with you certain lures.

    The ancient statuette lure

Uh, my favorite. This lure includes you giving the victim an ancient stat/seren stat/amardly stat. The ancient stat protects virtually over every item in Runescape as it has a value of 5M coins. Therefore, if one is skulled with a elysian shield worth 1B and an ancient stat in his inventory, using protect item prayer, he will keep the ancient stat over the 1B shield! Ridiculous? Yes!

This can work with many items to like : dragon claws, bandos chestplate/tassests, godswords…rares.

There are many variation of the lures here are a few :
    1. Requires 2 players, one player has to be able to Teleblock and die with 5m – 10m ( inclusive of either ancient/seren stat ), the other player has to have ancient magic ( to work best ) and has to be very good at player killing, finishing off the victim. ( Best if he has chaotics, maxed gears )

Player A will be the player with TB and he will have to die. Both players will go to a PKING world and try to spot a player with a piece of equipment like dragon claws, godswords, bandos items, torva or the elysian shields.

Player A will approach that player and request for a DM. It is best if Player A has whip, dragon armor to make it more enticing for the potential victim. The victim will most likely be in welfare gear and carry his Elysian shield ( PROD ) and thinks that if he dies he will only lose 300k~ and therefore agree.

Player A takes victim to a pretty secluded place to DM, to prevent “PJ”. It should be quite deep in the wilderness so that the victim will be unable to escape. Make sure the victim is +1 or -1 the combat level of player B. Player A will fight the victim till the victim is low on food. Player A will have to count properly and estimate correctly for the lure to work. Once player A thinks that it is the right time, player A should take out mage gear ( mystics ) to Teleblock the victim. Next player A will die on purpose to the victim.

If the victim is unaware of the lure, he will pick up the ancient/seren stat and the other loots. However, if he is aware of this lure, he will not pick the stats up and the lure fails.

Scenario : Luckily, your victim was unaware and picked up the ancient stat. He has only 4 rocktails left from the fight. It is time you finish him off. Remember, he is tele blocked, therefore is unable to escape! You barrage him and blitz him. He protects magic, you wipe out dragon claws/ags. If he protects melee, you take out your korsai’s sword and destroy him. 4 rocktails should be easy to take out. You manage to kill him.

    1) He drops his elysian shield and instead protects the ancient stat. Lure successful.
    2) He was aware of the lure and kept his shield. You manage to retrieve what player A has lost, therefore, your net loss is just a few hundred K. Compared to the potential 1B loot, it’s nothing.

    Here’s the second variation :
This is much easier to do and I found it easy. It takes place in clan wars. Again you need two players. In clan wars, most players carry either a Dragon dagger or Korsai’s sword. However, a few carry Dragon Claws or Godswords and enjoy PJing pkers. They are your victims!

Firstly, in dangerous clan wars, you will lose all of your items if you die regardless if your skulled or not. Protect item will only keep one of your most valuable items.

This lure is less risky. If the victim is carrying a godsword, you will have to use a Blessed Spirit shield. However, if the victim is carrying a dragon claws, you can use cheaper dragon items like plateskirts , sq shield or battle axes.

Player A will be the bait, player B, the killer. Player B should have ancient magic’s and should be a good player killer. Once the victim is spotted, player A will have to try to lure the victim into a not so populated area, far away from the exit. Next, player A will die on purpose to the victim. Make sure player A lowers the victim’s health to make it easy for player B.

The victim then kills player A, picks up the ‘loot’ and player B immediately kills the victim. BAM! Free Dragon claws/ Godsword!

You can come out with your own variations too. I find that using it at the clan wars works best for me!

    Jolly Bar Inn lure

This lure basically existed years ago… Invented by Jojo3000
    This is taken from jojo3000

I would find players in Runescape that had holiday items or large amts of money, i mainly searched in world 2 Falador( now grand exchange )(it has the most merchants). I would tell them im quitting runescape for some various reason, and i would show them a ton of nice items that i was dropping. Then i would tell them i dont want a big drop party, and have them teleport to varrock with me. Once in varrock i would say theres too many noobs here, and i would lead them to the jolly bar inn. Once at the jolly bar inn i would trade them and show them 200M-1B cash and say im dropping my money first. after i showed them the money, i would drop the 200M-1B and low alch a rune large helmet. the helmet alches for around 10k and i would drop the 10k, then i would run back and pick up my 200M-1B. thus people thought i really dropped the 200M-1B that I showed them. they would run in the wilderness to grab it, and my friends or myself would barrage them.

towards the end of my luring days I refused to lure for anyone else, and i only solo lured. solo luring is where i drop the money on jojo3000, and then log onto my pker before the money appears, thus i would get 100% of the share. I hope this has answered any questions about how i got what i did.

    Chinchompa Lure

This involves great talking. You will have to convince a player to bring 3 valuable items or some rares and tell them you want to make a wilderness pking video and tell them they will be paid afterwards and that they will be a part of a upcoming popular series of pking videos.

You will need a friend close to your combat level. Ensure the victim does not take along food. If he does it can be harder and more tedious. You should also bring him to above level 20 wilderness if you are unable to tele-block him. Ancient magic’s are recommended.

You and your friend must convince him it’ll be safe and it’ll be fine. Your friend should also act as if he is just newly recruited and you guys have never met before. Therefore, the victim will feel safer and better.

Head towards deep in the wilderness and go to a secluded multi combat zone. Attack him and tell him to attack you back. Convince him that now that you have attacked him, he will not be skulled when he attacks you. Next, proceed to tell him that you will need him to throw a red chinchompa at you so that the video will look special and funny. Your friend should stand either beneath you, or beside you.

When he throws the chinchompa at you, thinking he will not be skulled, he will get skulled as the chinchompa will hit your friend too. Then, kill him and loot is yours!

    Dragon battleaxe common lure

This lure is very common and can be found widely on the internet. Convince the victim to act in a video with you, tell him you will give him dragon battle axes/ plate skirts as a reward. ( this will not work as often as many are aware of this lure ).

Next, bring him deep into wilderness so he cannot teleport out and hit him till his life Is low. Then, drop the reward ( 4 noted d baxes or plateskirts ) around the area. Wait till he picks it up and kill him before he can logout/escape. The dbaxes and plateskirts should protect over his dragon claws/whip. Therefore you will profit!

Dangerous clan wars : Redemption lure

This lure does not work as effectively. It takes place either in wilderness or in the dangerous clan wars. You will tell the victim yet again you are working on a video that requires him to bring his godsword/whip/claws and on redemption prayer. You should turn it on too. This will make him feel more comfortable ( herd effect )

Next, if in the wilderness, get him to skull and give him prayer potions to ensure him that it’ll be alright. Then, ask him to use redemption prayer as you kill him. Promise him a reward of 1M or something, enough to entice him. Make sure you don’t KO him before the redemption prayer goes off. Once the redemption prayer goes off, all his prayer points should have converted into Life points.

Now, before he manages to sip a dose of prayer pot and turn on protect item, whip out your dragon claws and finish him off.

However, many people know that redemption will take away their prayer points. Still, some are oblivious.

Dangerous clan wars lure : Health transfer lure

I love this lure a lot. It is unique and special and I just love it! However, it can be pretty difficult for it to work. Two people is required for this law and one has to have Lunar magic and have a magic level high enough to do “Health Transfer” and “Vengenance other” ( we will call him player A )

The other must have ancient magics and be able to hit high effectively. He will need Smite/Soul spilt prayer. ( will call him player B )

To find targets, Player A will go into the dangerous clan wars and find players carrying Godswords or claws or whips. Next, he will veng them, to see if their aid is on, or off. If their aid is on , perfect. If their aid is off, either convince them to turn it on or search for another target.

First, search the victim on high scores to figure out his prayer level. Try to lure the victim away from the exit. Next, Player B will attack the victim with Smite/soul spilt ON. Player A will continue to veng the victim and act as though he is helpful and friendly. Once the victim health is low, player A will health transfer him and continue venging him.

Now, the smite will take effect and drain the victim’s prayer points. Smite will steal away 1/40 of the LPS dealt. If the victim has 50 prayer, you will need to do 2000 LPS worth of damage to ensure his prayer will be dropped. However, it will probably require less damage as he will be using his prayers too, draining his own prayers.

So, calculate well, to ensure that his prayer will be dropped. Sometimes he will realize it and attempt to escape. Fret not, freeze him and continue!
    There you go, free godsword/claws!

Dangerous clan war lure : Devouring the gullible chicken
This lure does work, but I personally dislike this lure for its simplicity and how uncreative it is.
Basically one player will act as a noob with pretty valuable items, show the victim his inventory ( of course not the food he has ), and convince him to fight him in the dangerous clan wars. Or say that your quitting and sick and tired of runescape…blah blah.
The other player will wait deep in the clan wars and the bait will lure the victim towards the killer. And the killer kills the victim, PROFIT.

THE END HOPE YOU ENJOYED. I PUT IT LOTS OF EFFORT INTO IT!

Absolutely amazing guide, you clearly put a lot of effort into this. Better than most paid guides I've read.

I thought the "success in staking portion" of your guide looked familiar, and I just remembered why - http://www.********.com/vb/showthread.php/free-staking-tips-29428.html [apparently "rune.mart" (remove period) gets starred out here?]
I read it there last week. Seems like people are copying your shit and taking credit for it

OT, very nice guide overall, I like your explanation of the martingale method. I actually made almost 2b using it (doing maxed boxing stakes), the whole time only being covered to lose 6 in a row, but then I sold 1b and after I came back I got cleaned for the remaining 1b >.<. Building back up now, will use the techniques in this guide to try to be more responsible with my bankroll...

Damnnn you put some major time into making this. The only flaw is i got really bored halfway through. Try adding some pictures to spruce it up a bit. Change the font and separate sections better and maybe add some colors? The information is flawless but the presentation is what holds this back. Good guide man.
