Does ESPN actually HATE Lebron James?

We all REMEMBER the 'Decision'; 1 hour long ESPN special to say about 11 words... Now since he has joined the Heat, there has been a Heat Index, daily (not sure if daily, but a good 1-3 stories a week) articles, front page news, etc ALL on the HEAT. He is now labeled as the most hated athlete in professional sports and ESPN is making this worse.

Seeing as I hated him for his selfish and classless acts last summer, I now pity him. In my view it seems ESPN is ruining his reputation and some-what of his career.

Opinions on my theory?

 

It sounds defamatory but it can also be working in favour for him, like astroturfing. I'm not sure what the extent is of the reports, because we rarely get news of NBA and such here, so I can't really comment...

 

Haha, this is quite the interesting theory. Thinking about it, you might have a point. They are indeed giving Lebron so much media attention. While that may appear like a good thing, it also puts more pressure on him and captures more of Lebron - not just the superstar, but the taboo villain.

 

Lebron is almost a billionaire.

His basketball skills speak for themselves
He had a 90million dollar contract with Nike in HIGHSCHOOL.

ESPN would never be able to completely tarnish his reputation, he's a rich NBA Superstar, and there are so many followers of basketball he'd have to rape someone to tarnish his rep with them. IMO.

 

When you have that much popular demand, anyone is bound to torment and scrutinize you.

In the words of Charlie Sheen, He's a winner. Plus i'm bout to go buy Lebron 8 v2's Tomorrow.

i agree because everyone was upset Lebron didnt decide to go to the teams that they recommended.

 

actually, they have a liking for lebron and the heat now, now that the heat have the "big three" they feature the heat on everything.
