1gig of RAM running 2 bots (x2)
2gigs of RAM running 4 bots

It's probably better to have them all in one place so it's easier for you to take care of them.

 

So I got a 6GB ram VPS from botvps. It's linux, everything is setup and installed, latest java version.

But it performs rather poorly with anymore then 3 bots. I'm getting around 70% success rate in SG with the 3 running, that's horrible. It goes down to the 60's with 4.

Shouldn't I be able to run more then 3? I've got 4.6M of ram unused.

I've done all the obvious, graphics down, safe mode, global settings down, good worlds.

Is there anything I can do to speed things up? I feel like I'm doing something wrong as I'm pretty linux stupid. I do have a client open for each account, maybe that's hogging up a lot of CPU or something? Wasn't able to figure out how to get multiple accounts going under 1 client.

If anyone has any ideas be glad to hear them.

 

That's really bad, you should be able to handle at least 6-12 bots. If you would like, I can teamviewer with you and check out what the issue may be. PM me if you need it.

 

Thanks I might take you up on that if there support doesn't say theres any issues, but I'm like 95% sure its something wrong on the providers end, just waiting till I get a response from them.

 

Will my auth code from rsbots.net be banned if it's on my vps? Instead of my normal Ip address?

 

No you can use them on different IP's, you just can't use them on different IP's at the same time.

 

Lol, seerhost.com is dead. Lucky my new host that is cheaper then them is coming in a few days.

Well go to Seerhost.com and you get the message

"This Account Has Been Suspended".

I will be doing cheaper VPS's than them in about 2 days when the Dedi and the website is finished.

Hey guys I posted a thread before about bringing my VPS servers to the general public. I have just added 3 new servers and am setting up another two. These bot servers will come pre-packed with the most popular bots. I currently have a few friends and people here at sythe beta testing these but very soon I plan on moving these servers to the general public at VERY cheap prices. So I bought an xen warp 3 package from photonvps and its running bots pretty smoothly. Is there a way I can see how close I am to my limit? Like how many more bots I would be able to run?

 

Yeah go to your SolusVn panel and log in, they sent you the info in the email and ticket that says "New Server Confirmation" Then go to main view and select your server "server1.KMJTsbothost.com" for example this should bring up info about your diskspace, ram usage and bandwidth usage. Also I am glad you chose Photonvps, they seem to be very supporting of the whole bot scene.

You can also open up the terminal in your VPS and type "free -m" minus the quotes. It'll show how much ram you're using and how much is left.

 

I am testing my new host's server on a 1GHTZ CPU + 512 mb ram and it manages 2 bots. I'm pretty sure that you're doing something wrong. My RSBservers is releasing soon.

I don't think it's on my end. I have a 1GB ram from photon that I set up and it runs 2 bots better then the 6GB I bought does with 1.

I'm not sure if there's a way to check on the VPS, but with the way it lags I assume I'm not getting much of any CPU power to my VPS. It's not just the bot itself but the whole VPS is rather sluggish.
