How to Reduce FPS Lag in Video Games

Hello, Brandon here. I'll be showing you how to reduce pesky FPS lag in video games such as Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty Franchise, and of course, Runescape HD.

There are 3 methods of doing so. The methods are:

-Setting your computers performance to high
-Putting your anti-virus to silent/gaming mode
    -Using Gamebooster to your advantage

I'll start off by the computers performance.

First off, you'll want to go to start menu and go here:

After you've done that, proceed to:

Once you've double clicked on that it will show you 3 performances.
    -Balanced, which is default.
    -Power saver
-High Performance, which is what you want.

Click on the high performance bubble, then close out of it. You may need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

For the Anti-Virus part, simply right click your anti-virus in the bottom right corner by your clock, and select "silent/gaming mode". This will greatly increase your frame rate, making for smoother game play!

For the game booster part, go to - http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html
Download the program, then install it. Run a virus scan if you are unsure.
Once you've done that, click on "switch to gaming mode". This will close all unnecessary processes in your task manager as well as on your PC which you don't need while gaming. If you're worried as to if they are gone forever, once you're done gaming, merely open up gamebooster again and select "back to normal mode", and it will bring them back.

Note: I didn't include pictures for the other two as they are extremely self-explanatory and obvious.

Thanks for taking the time in reading this, and have fun with no lag!
