[IDEA]Selling VPS's For botting[IDEA]

Well, I know there is quite a few companies that are currently doing this but if I could come up with windows VPS's for about $10 or less that already have all bots installed and can run around 5 bots at once. What do you think the market on these would be? They would be almost instant setup and easy to access via remote desktop.

 

I would purchase them!

$10 is a very reasonable price, I'm sure many others will also agree.

 

I would recommend running Linux instead of Windows to save money.

 

Nah, my bro has his contacts and it only costs around $20 for the whole server on server '08. Windows makes it much easier and it would allow you to use it for more than just botting (Bar illegal things).

 

Linux can also do a lot more than botting, just saying.

Anyway, I'll definitely be a customer if you get this up and running.

 

Linux distro is much more complicated but will crash MUCH MUCH less

 

TBH, Ubuntu isn't hard to understand at all. I've installed it on old people's computers and they liked it better than Windows.

 

For all the 12 - 15 year olds using these, windows will be the best option. They know it and it's pretty easy to install clone-wise.

Just to give you guys an idea of what's happening - In order for 1 VPS to be capable of running 5 bots at the same time, you'd need upwards from 4GB RAM per VPS, and one hell of a processor on the host node. By adding windows to the mix, you increase the total specs necessary from 4GB+ to at least 5GB+.

In the hosting industry, you get what you pay for - and no legitimate host will sell you something of a high caliber for such a low price - because then they can't meet their bottom line. I guarantee there's either something that this guy isn't tell you, or he just doesn't realize what he's promising here.

I suggest you take a look at wholesale prices for DC's. Not even wholesale prices are that low - you will be losing money big time.

 

a 10$ windows vps will max run 1 bot if it even can that.. You're never going to get a windows vps that can run anything near 5 bots for 10$

 

I agree, you need to re-think your business model. There would be a market for VPS providers on sythe if that is what your asking. As for your server I would run linux instead and 5 bots for $10 is not possible if you want a return on your investment. You will need the hardware to back it up, and the software expertise to keep your customers happy.

 

Yes, it probably will only run one bot but there will be more than one plan and you can do much more on them than just botting.

The way that it's probably going to be cheap is co-locating a massive server / server rack at a host somewhere in the USA.

Regardless at the way you look at it, everyone will jump at $10 Windows VPS's.

 

Sorry but, I think if users realise that you can have access to their VPS (including their saved RS Username & pass).

I think they will think twice before ordering a VPS from someone that plays runescape, and would rather order from a real, bigger company.

 

Ironically I don't actually play anymore. I'm not a scammer and it would be a big waste to randomly steal peoples passwords. Are the user and passwords not connected to the bot anyway?

 

You keep saying that, but Windows is seriously a bad idea, and setting up a webserver is harder on Windows than on Linux.

 

Windows has more advantages and I have heaps of experience with windows server modules. I would also have another server with linux that people could use if they wanted as well but in general even for other things than bots $10 for a windows VPS would sell much easier than $10 for a linux VPS.

imo Linux only takes 10 seconds to figure out how to update bot client and run it ect

imo windows is just a crappy OS



example between mac and windows
anyone ever used a mac pro they only have like 3gbs of ram yet it runs 100 times faster and smoother then a windows computer that has 4gbs of ram ?

 

Linux is cheaper but I'm saying that there is a much larger demand for windows VPS's then Linux. If everyone wants Linux then it's extra $$ for me because windows licensing is a bitch.

 

I'd buy since the bots are installed, would you be providing the auths?
