    My {LEAK} on free trade {SNIPING}

I want to start of by saying i take full credit for this nothing here was stolen from other people. I do not know if other people have posted anything on this other than a guide sold on the market. I am sure whatever he is selling is more detailed and accurate.

I posted a few days back asking if anyone would want start sniping with me for some split profit but no one really was into it.

    So here it goes :)

Last week i was experimenting with the ge, basically just messing around and i started to think how sniping could be used in free trade. I thought how could it be possible with no real street value. There is street for exsample few people sell there phats for what the ge is telling you to, but how could u ever really snipe it off the ge beause there are no limits to the offers u can put in. Then purely on trail and error i found the key to sniping it was COINSHARE. I realized that all coinshare drops are automatically and only sold for guide price. So just like before the first people to put there offers in for guide price when the ge updates will get the coinshare drops. Now the question is what coinshare items have street. well duh all of the new gwd drops :)

well i hope this helped some of you and clear put some questions you might have.

It would be really cool if you use this method and post some pics up thanks :)

Interesting deduction. I'll give it a go.

Wouldn't it still automatically go to the person with the highest offer? I'm like 90% sure that's how it works, rofl. Sniping CS'd items only worked before because there were upper and lower price ceilings.

I really highly doubt if you stuck an offer in for Torva platebody at trade price it would go through, ever, unless it eventually crashed that low (which it probably will).

It has been known for ages that coinshare drop goes to ge for min price o_O dunno if the highest offer wins or w/e

I saw, like half year ago, guys who were posting that they bought div sigil on ge, but now without limits it's way harder to snipe a good item.

Think of it this way have you ever got a 1b+ split at nex hell no. So they are not being csd at what there really worth. you right if put an offer in for torva plate at guide price there is a very very very unlikely chance of getting that drop. For one thing coin shared is not used in mass nex trips and the high price nex items are very rare drops. And lastly you have to be one of the first people in to put your offers in after ge updates :)

I don't think it would work the way you're describing. Say a dumbass clan actually puts coinshare on at Nex and gets a torva plate drop. Tons of people have max cash offers for torva in the ge. The first person to put a max cash offer in would probably get the plate, along with a bunch of gp back to make up the difference between the guide price and max cash. And even if that wasn't the case, I'm sure there's tons of people with offers already in the ge for torva at guide price, so it's pretty much impossible to "snipe" it either way at this point.

    My {LEAK} on free trade {SNIPING}

EDIT: Since this is leaked, I'll put my guide in the Free Guide's section.

    COINSHARE SNIPING: BY UNIONLOZER
Ok, so although I call it sniping, technically it’s different than real sniping, but has the same results and basically the same way of doing it. It’s called "Coinshare Sniping."
Basically, Coinshare is used by clans who are fighting boss monsters (Such as Corp, Tormented Demons, Nex, Bandos, Armadyl, Saradomin, Zammy, ECT). When a clan "Coinshares" a valued drop (say a divine sigil from corp, or dragon claws from tormented demons) the item is immediately placed into the GE at MED price. The item is then sold to the first person who puts an offer in at med or above AFTER the item is placed in the GE. The reason why the mechanics are set up like this is so money is not removed from the game by the GE buying an item for 25m and selling it to another player for 30m (5m is lost).
    Example of above statement:
Player A & Player B share a Coinshare dragon claws drop. Player C buys the dragon claws from GE
If player A & Player B were to Coinshare Dragon claws (guide price 25m) they would each receive 12.5m.
Say the street price of dragon claws was 30m, and Player C bought the claws for 30m. 5m would be lost to the GE, (+dclaws for A & B when they got drop, -dclaws when drop sold, +25m total GP) (+dclaws for player c, -30m from player c) Add those all up and you get Claws+Claws-Claws+25m-30m= Claws -5m.
Normal trades are like this. Player A gets dragon claw drop, sells to player b for 30m. Player A is +dclaws(from drop)-dclaws(from selling)+30m(from selling) Player B is +dclaws(from buying)-30m(from buying). Add those up and you get +dclaws, the original item gained.
"Coinshare Sniping" is much like regular sniping, except instead of mass spamming max price and waiting for the price to change, you repeatedly put an offer in for an item you wish to buy at Med +1 (Med would work but I always do Med+1 just to be safe).
Basically, say you have an offer in on a Divine Sigil for 1b, and, 5 minutes later, a clan "Coinshares" it. Even though your offer is more than the person who puts in a 750m offer 1 second after the sigil is placed on the GE, the person who put their offer in AFTER the sigil was placed on the GE will receive it.
So, say that a divine sigil (724.1m) is dropped after a team kills it (while using Coinshare). The sigil will be placed in the GE @ 724.1m, and will be sold to the first person to put an offer in at med or above after the item was placed in the GE. You can see the profits that can be made here considering that the "street price" for the Divine Sigil is around 1b.
Another way Coinshare sniping works is with high level armor/weapons that have been bought out. Say Dragon Claws have a "guide price" of 23m, but are being sold at 30m. If you were to effectively "Coinshare snipe" a pair of them, you would earn 7m.
The third way this will work for profit is with Godswords. Very often Godswords will crash and then be bought out (repeating the process over and over). While the hilts and swords are crashing, all the Coinshared hilts will be placed in the GE @ Med (However, since they are crashing, none will be sold). The items will then remain at the new med price (lowering everyday) until they are bought. When the respective Godsword is bought out, the hilts will still be buyable for around 5-10 hours due to the large supply that has been collecting at Med while the hilts and swords were crashing.
EXAMPLE: Armadyl Godsword has been crashing from 60m-50m in about a week. Then, it gets "bought out" and is now selling for 60-65m. You can "Coinshare snipe" a hilt and then sell it for some good profit. If you realize the “price bounce” soon enough, the hilts are still buyable for around 5-10 hours at Med, and after you purchase one of those you can immediately flip it or make it into a Godsword and sell it VIA W2/Forums/GE.
    Picture Examples:

This is a picture of the graph of a Bandos Chestplate (note a great item, but effective it hit at the right time). As you can see, the BCP’s were bought out and rose for around 4m. If you had Coinshare sniped the BCP during the “bottom” of its wave, you would have been able to sell it for around 5-10m profit (depending on how desperate your buyer is).

This is a graph of Dragon Claws. The rise happened about 15 days ago. If you would have successfully Coinshare sniped the Dragon Claws while they were around 21m “guide price” they were selling for around 28m and could have been quickly sold for 7m profit.
Items this will work on: NOTE the Street Price must be more than the Guide Price to profit.
Divine Sigil & Elysian Sigil’s (Until their GE price meets their Street Price)
Torva/Vitus/Pernix Parts (Until their GE price meets their Street Price)
    Bandos Items
    Dragon Claws
    Armadyl Items
    Godsword Hilts
Any item you want that is dropped by a boss that is frequently killed by clans with Coinshare on.
Now, there is not always an item that this will work on (although until the sigil prices reach their true price, which will take forever, they will work like a charm). Sometimes, all high level armor/weapons will be stable and Coinshare sniping them would be pointless. When the items prices are bought out, massive amounts of GP can be made very quickly.

Yeah, the torva sets are the main examples here, and they're not likely to work.

this does work. torva plate sniping is just like sniping a phat when old sniping. yah it is very hard to do. And coinshare drops are sold at guide price.

So you're saying that if you're the first person to put in an offer at guide price after the ge updates, and a clan gets the drop through coinshare before the next update, you'll get the item? Sorry man, I don't buy it. Show a pic of you "sniping" any of the new armor and I'll believe it. You're talking like your information is a fact, when really it's just your untested (and probably wrong) theory...

I'd wager that you would be able to make more money more consistently and faster if you invested it rather than attempting to 'snipe' some torva.

I'd like an example of you sniping Nex armor, or elysian+ sigil with this otherwise I'm calling bullshit. Coinshare was always meant to be a cash sink. It would sell for mid on the GE, but the CSers only got min value. Removing 5% of that item's value from the game. Read up about it and you'll find that I am right. This probably just happens to a bigger extent now. For example, a team CSes a Divine Sigil, gets about 730M to split between the team, but the sigil itself sells for "market" price, which is to say whatever the person with the highest offer is offering in the GE. For divines, probably around 1100M. Therefore you're removing ~370M from the game. This is almost guaranteed how this system works, and it isn't implausible, before anyone says it. The amount of GP in the game is vast and the amount of times this happens is probably outweighed by the people bringing GP INTO the game by alching, etc.

Until you can prove me wrong with a big snipe on these such items with high street your whole "method" is garbage.

The example with the divine is exactly why this works. Jagex doesn't want to remove 370m from the game, therefore, the CS'd item sells immediately to the first person who puts an offer in ABOVE mid AFTER it has been coinshared.

Proof of you doing it? They made no announcement stating any of this. You have no proof to back up your claims. The smaller example with items such as Bandos doesn't apply to this, for irrefutable proof you need to do this on an item that has VASTLY different GE price and actual market value. This is how the system worked before, this is how it should work now, in theory.

Also, btw, they couldn't care less about removing 370M from the game. You seem to underestimate not only how many people alch, but also how rare a divine is, and then by continuation, how rare it is for a team to CS a divine. The GP brought into the game from alching for just 1 day would more than likely outweigh the 370M lost from CSing a divine, which is probably not happening even once a month. You'd be pretty hard up to find a team that CSes Corp. You're picturing 370M removed from the game as this amazingly huge amount, when in the grand scheme of things, that's probably less than 0.5% of the GP traded daily on RS. Money sinks aren't evil things, they help keep inflation under control, and one of the big benefits of CS when it was first released was that it removed some of the GP from the game, albeit a very small amount on most items. They didn't announce changing it, and so I would naturally assume that they haven't.

Shockwave.... this applies to anything with a guide price below the selling price. Also, for as much money that is brought in through alching it is lossed by money sinking skills.

I understand that 370m isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things, but I have tested this (obviously noto n a divine) but on smaller items such as dclaws when they were 10m over guide price and it works.

As I said, without testing it on an item which the GE value is very far away from the market value you have a very shaky foundation on which your theory is based. With lower priced items, there is usually a very small (at most a few mill) margin where you can say whether or not your method actually worked or whether it was just someone selling for GE price. Also, this is only based on your word, as there is no way to accurately base the price of an item with such a low value in real time as it goes up and down in true market value, coupled with the fact you have no screenshots to back up any of your claims.

Btw, can you name any skills other than some parts of construction and Summoning shards that are a pure money sink? I don't know if you realize this but skills like Prayer, Herblore, etc, are merely transferring the GP to another player. Not removing it from the game. The amount of GP brought into the game is vastly greater than GP lost through skills.
