Okay.. I got scammed for 900$ [updated]

The guy paid in nine times 100 usd.
the money was sent as payment owed with the added message:

What should I say to win the unauthorised claims?

I googled her email adress and got linked to "ebriggs1992.blogspot" I simply clicked her name and found out whereabouts she lives.,
Then I whitepaged her name + location and found her.
managed to find the bitch name on whitepages along with her phone number and stuff.
She lives in California.

I found out the guy used a procxy tp register to my forums. he most likely used a oroxy as well to pay with paypal.

I got a friend who is going to spoof the guys paypal mail and send me a messag like "haha, I used a p;rozy to scma you : "

Just got rid of my negative paypal balance, nearly got paid with a hacked paypal account again:/
the guy had a belgian email adress and a brittish paypal account..
googled his email and he turned out to be a vader

 

Ouch dude.. Good lucking catching her.. Happen to have any screenshots from the trade? Try to ring up PayPal and show the evidence?

Anyway, as I said, paypal probably limited Him/Her because of the dodgy mass sending of cash. Contact them before you do anything .

 

Look into the case first, maybe her PayPal got limited. Sorry if you already answered this. Call her up and tell her to give the money or else your calling the authorities. She'll definitely give in then.

 

Man if so, i hope you get your money back. This is terrible

I hate when that happens. That's why I never plan on selling for PayPal again. People can be dicks even when you give them a fair deal.

I just phoned paypal and they told me I asked for details about the claim.
The claim has been made by the credit card company.

By the sounds of it she didn't intend to scam you, she got limited.

 

Well whose fault is that? It is possible to be considered scam until she comes forward and gives back the money or pays him back in another way. It's A LOT he lost from, not a few 10's and 20's.

i don't see why we shouldn't post personal details of a scammer though. he or she deserves to be shamed.

What happens if you just ditch the account and make a new one?

Obviously can't verify it again with same CC/Bank, but yea...

 

I've had it before. You can't win since the credit card compagny has the legal right to cancel the payment. She probably used a proxy so her IP doesn't match with the IP the account is made by.

Further, you can't prove anything to paypal. Even when you sent in chat logs they won;t even look at it because you easually could have edited them.

I feel sorry for you dude, since i've been screening around the market again I can see you're a fair trader. Therefore I advise you only using paypal when buying bulk's. For selling you could use playauction/wu/mail to be sure you won't get scammed.

 

I was scammed by the same person for $400... The claim is there was an unathorized transaction. The word around town is that those are unstoppable and all you can do is hope paypal rules in your favor.

If paypal rules against you they will hand off the debt to a collection agency, hurting your credit score if you don't pay it off. So you can ditch your account but that wouldn't be a smart thing to do.
