What to alch?

Doeble Exp weekend is soon. going for 99 mage (do you think i can get 99 from 94 in 3 days i think it is on double exp?).

So yea whats a good item to alch right now? need some suggestions

I am currently alching maple longbows (u), it's about 100gp loss per alch so it's not to bad. If you wanna find some items they can be alched for a lower loss per alch than google alch prices and click the first link. And also with double xp alching will be about 150k xp/hr so you should be able to get 99 or at least close.

 

It's not double xp weekend. It's bonus xp weekend, because you don't get double all weekend, you get about 10 hours of training then it goes down to only 1.1x the normal xp rate over time.

Yeah he's right. So yeah, it seems nice but really you get like double experience for 1, maybe 2 hours. Then the rate starts dropping.

One thing you may want to do is summoning. If I'm right you can switch the exp thingy on and off. So you bank items etcetera, run to obelisk, then switch exp on make pouches and switch it off. That way you'll safe quite some exp.

I'm also going to be doing Unstrung Maple Longbows during the Bonus weekend, bought mine a bit ago before they rose, but still a net loss nonetheless.

As far as the weekend goes, yes, the XP rates will drop the more you play, starting out at 2.7x and eventually bottoming out at 1.1x normal.

Also, Summoning will stay at a constant 1.1x I believe due to the fact that Jagex perceives most of the time spent "training" Summoning comes from Charm collecting and not the pouch running. I will edit this post with the source in a few minutes.
