jagex phish email need help!

hi guys i just got an email saying from jagex that i hae been banned for real world trading, and it said click this link to appeal offence, so i did put my log in details then realised it wasnt jagex, what should i do? ive changed pass, could i have a key logger?

 

I suggest a virus scan, and to move all Items to an account on a different pc. I'm not sure whether he has a keylogger or if it just logs what he has typed in :/

 

ive been getting them aswel all the time i dont know how they got the jagex email list but no there would not be a virus

 

I think they just get the emails from this site lol, as "most" of the site real world trades it would seem like the perfect place :/

If it was just a simple phisher, just change your password.

If a java window popped up and you clicked run, you should change your pass from another computer/virtualbox, and do a system restore/reinstall/wait few weeks for the virus to get detected by antivirus programs.

 

Phish do steal the password you've inserted. Changing it as fast as possible would save your account.

 

Your computer is clean, unless you were asked to run a java script then there's a chance you have a RAT / keylogger. If not, you're fine.

No, phishing sites are completely different from a java drive-by.

 

For the record there are some advanced sites that run java drive-bys silently.

@OP: Just change pass, you should be fine if it was a run of the mill phishing site.
