New to forum; have a few questions

Hi Guys

I'm a long time lurker and first time poster so be gentle with me ^_^

I've just started to bot using rs.net's SorcGarden Pro and am aware it's currently not working due to the recent RS update. How long are the bots usually (a rough figure please) down after an update?

Does anyone have a good guide I can read to get the bot working properly as it was failing a lot earlier (only bought it last night!)? The website / guide I was going to follow is no longer working.

Why do people use VPS' to bot? I'm well aware of what one is but am curious as to why people use them. Is it because they are much more powerful than their PC's or are there other reasons? My PC is very decent (Intel i5 2500 processor, 16gb ram etc etc - used for learning hyper-v / virtualisation - google it) so it will be able to handle tons of bots fine.

What's the best way to get rid of the items off my botter on to my main? Drop trades? Mules?

Any advise is much appreciated

The bot will be up within 24hours, usually happens after system update i personally bot sorc garden made $300 this month hit me on msn it's in my sig if you have any questions

$300 in a month? Nice! If you don't mind me asking, how many bots are you running and how many hours a day do you bot them? (on average)

VPS's are often used in botting as they allow you to run bots 24/7 without having to keep your home computer on all day. This saves electricity and increases the life of your computer.

 

So it's nothing to do with hiding your identity or something?

 

That's a fair point but modern do PC's draw very little power these days. Thanks for your reply; it wasn't something I had considered.

 

My thinking was if it's just to save electricity and depreciation then it doesn't matter to be personally but if it's for security then i'd rather be safe than sorry

 

If you wanted to get technical, it would be nice to keep the bots off of your Home IP so that if Jagex decides to mass ban, they don't get the accounts you haven't botted.

Yea, it's more the convenience of having a dedicated box to bot on then the electricity savings.

I'm still looking for advise and in particular an answer to my question out the guide to botting Soc gardens properly.

 

i Bot 2 accounts, each for 24hours/day setting them up is easy

do prince ali rescue and buy 200 empty beer glasses then buy memebrship and bot in the garden you can for each level so;

Winter 1-25 should take 2 hours
Spring 25-45 should take 6 hours
Autumn 45-65 should take about 15 hours

once you are level 65 you use the summer garden and collect herbs instead of fruits and you should make 200k+ an hour, currently with exp weeekend coming up i make 300k/hr but that will decrease after the end of this week, any other questions?

My bot fails probably 40% of the time if not more, what should my settings be? A guide or advise would be excellent!

Urm, all i can say is you will get low success rates until summer garden, ive botted 4 accounts to 65 thieving and autumn seems to be pretty shit, make sure you're in the world with the lowest ping and you should be fine

Best way to trade gold to your main would be just a trade lol or die with the money and pick it up

people use vps to run lots of bots and to have the ability to have their pc's turned off instead of leavign them on 24/7
