    way to dependent?

    I'm 19 ( 20, in 4th August )
Still live in my parents house.
My parents pay for my university tuition.
I still drive my parents cars.
    My parents pay for gas.
All of my income comes from Sythe which is a mere $150 per month, sometimes even less.
I'm broke most of the times because when I transfer money I've made from Sythe to my bank account I go spend it right away with stupid stuff like food, and other random shit I don't even need.
It costs me alot asking my parents to give me money :\

I'm gonna graduate from Uni in 2012/2013 and I rly wanna compensate my parents with everything they gave me so far.

Am I way to dependent from my parents?

i wouldn't say way to dependent but you are depending on them a lot.
You are going to college which shows you have some sort of drive, what are you going for?

Maybe for once with your sythe money, take them out to eat a nice restaurant? Something to show them that you really appreciate everything they do for you, and that in time you will find a way to pay them back.

Most parents don't mind lending assistance to their young as long as it beneficial to their child's future, and they feel a sense of pride when they see you accomplish your goals.

Have a sit down with them and just explain that you feel bad that they are paying for everything, and you want to help them in any way possible.

    way to dependent?

I'm currently studying Information and Communications Technologies @ Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon.
And yes, college is what makes me 'keep going'..

Yes, I do depend ALOT on them.. Idk what I would do or be at this point of my life without them.

The thing is that and im no longer or I don't consider myself a "children"..
I'm 19 man, and I feel that by this age I should have some sort of stable income or atleast not depending so much on them (like paying for my own gas, buying lunch everyday with my own money, etc..)

It's actually kinda of my own fault as well.. i rly need to start using money more wisely instead of blowing it in useless shit.

    Very good idea. Thank you.

You're still young enough for it to not be that big of a deal. as long as your still in school, they can't expect you to get a full time job and support yourself.

Hey your still a young person! It's fine to be dependent but what makes you different then someone that will live at their parents all their life and someone that wants to succeed is that you feel the need to strive to support your own wants.

-Step 1 keep going to college until you finish
-Step 2 get another job besides sythe
-Step 3 get out go meet people go live life
-Step 4 save up some cash go somewhere where you have always wanted to go

I'm speaking from experiences. I am 21 years old just turned this passed oct. My high school years I spent as a hermit working all the time, working out, and playing rs that's all I did seriously. When I got to college I decided to change that started saving all my cash traveled with the school got out and met knew people

I have been to China, Egypt, Russia, puru, South America, Mexico and Germany. I don't plan on stopping there. Really grab a hold of life face your fears get out and live. Don't worry though you'll figure it out.

This will help you break out of your shell and really help you decide what you want to do.

Good luck you can do it! =)

Very interesting. Myself and a couple of friends have planed to go to Barcelona, Spain in easter break, just to chill and have fun.
We all actually started saving some money, and I almost have enough to do the trip.
You have no idea how it's been a pain to don't spend that money :\

    @Gomensasai
Explain how can you go to school and have a FULL time job?

There's not really anything wrong with what your doing. It's not like your forcing them to do these things? If your parents are well off financially they are allowed to spoil their children.

At least your doing something with your life; if you are in the same situation a few years after graduating from university then you might be dependent on your parents.

    way to dependent?

Thank you all for your answers. I'm feeling better now :)
Is there anyone around my age (18,19,20+) who still lives in their parents house, or depends somehow on them?

    @kmjt

My parents aren't exactly rich but they aren't poor either.
Both of them have a job (thank God).

I don't mind telling you guys how much they receive.
    Mom ~ 700€ p/month (around $966 USD)
    Dad ~ 850€ p/month (around $1,100 USD)

For Americans, you might think that it's alot, but the truth is that in Euros (€) currency it's not that much.
They pay for gas, electricity bills, water bills, Internet + Cable TV, rent, my college tuition (400€ every 4 months), etc.. etc.. etc..

I definitely don't want to still live with my parents after I graduate from Uni.

Depends on his workload; I know some people are heavily burdened by school (especially if they find it very challenging) and can't manage to do both.
