Runescape bots?

I'm new to botting but have been reading several threads about them. How do bots work? Which are the best/safest? I've recently been planning on buying a few but with the whole hacking scare, bit intimidated.

You need to download the client first and I believe on each website there is a step by step guide, once you get the client downloaded you need to buy "auth codes". With this said auth code you can run a bot, so you can buy a mining auth code, WC one and so on.

This is a really dumbed down version, but someone explained it to me like this when I started botting and it helped me to understand it.

 

botting works using java scripts to use a robot like program to make ur runescape player level up a skill or make money.

for example, using a combat bot, u set it up where u wanna fight. pick a monster (ex al kharid warriors) and then bot will then attack al kharid warriors automatically for u. some good starter scripts:

AutoRCPro if your 44+ rc (91+ preferably) and 57+ summoning. Its 300k-350k/hr @ 80 rc, and its like 500-600k/hr at 91+. Its a great bot, literally flawless, and it is one of the lowest ban rates of all.

 

Check out Robotz In Disguise, there are plenty of people there who can explain how the bots work there, and how other bots work as well. I learned almost all I know from talking to users there.

Also RiD is the only site who can claim that no users have ever been banned following their guidelines.

Basically using a programming language (most commonly Java) a person will write a script or Artificial Intelligence (depending on the qualifications of the programmer) that will complete tasks such as woodcutting, or smithing, or just about any skill in runescape. The bot will be programmed to do certain actions under certain conditions. The average Powerbot script is around 800 or so lines of code. I would assume the average Nexus script is around 1500. The cores ALONE of each of RiD's bots are over 30,000 lines of code.
