Help the man out ffs! This is getting ridiculous.

Hello everyone,

This is a rant about the dispute forum and its lack of activity, aswell as the Report a Scammer section. Okay well my friend was wrongfully banned, and it was so so obvious. He just got unbanned recently, but it took 3 weeks. All it took was a single look at the thread from a global and you could see the scam report was BS (chatlog). I understand 90% of the people disputing are scammers wanting a second chance, but theres a good bit of them that have been wrongfully banned and need to be unbanned. FireZ can't do it all on him self, yes I know that the other mods need more information to unbann etc etc. Well get involved like FireZ does and help him out, because this is outrageous for someone to wait this long to be back on sythe just because of another sythe's staffs mistake. That's just not fair.

Also Firez hasn't been active AT ALL in the Dispute a Ban place lately. When normally he is on top of it.

Also the mods banning people with little to no evidence isn't helping Firez's job at all. There is 3 pages in the Dispute Forum, but most of the time in the Report A Scammer section there is like 3 threads. Take the time to understand the report more and make sure the user in fact scammed or is guilty of whatever is being pushed towards him/her. Just banning someone because someone says he scams with some bs evidence isn't right.

Please don't take this the wrong way mods/sythe staff, i know you all are very busy with questions/mming/spam reports/ etc, just wanting to point this out that FireZ needs help in there with him.

If the mods ban them, then there is enough evidence to support the ban.

The people disputing, are lucky to even be able to dispute.
Let the mods take their time, they have numerous other stuff to handle, not just disputes/scams.

and I am pretty sure I said I understand they are busy with other things, but if a user is wrongfully banned then they deserve first priority over mming and extra stuff like that.

and no not always when a mod banns someone its enough to support the ban.

You can't really help much if you're not the one who banned the person in the first place. Most of the time, there is things that are PMed to the mod who took care of the report that I wouldn't know of, so posting my opinion on the ban would be useless.

 

I understand this, but also there is some disputes where it pretty obvious that they are a scammer or they was in fact actually wrongfully banned.

Maybe keep a log of why and evidence that isn't in the scam report why a user is banned? To share among globals or something.

But this isn't really directed toward you Gohan, because your busy and stay busy, and I see on most of your scam report you reply on you take the time to post a few replys asking for more evidence when people don't give enough.

 

Even if they were wrongfully banned, I don't have the powers to unban them, so again it'd be more effective to just let FireZ, or any other Global at the time to take care of it.

I'll take your advice and see how I can help out in that section though.

 

Yes but still you looking at the Dispute and posting on it with your opinion or pm'ing a global to unban them really helps out alot.

I personally just think we need more globals or the person that bans a user keep a log of evidence why and send it to a Global thats job is just purely for dispute's. I would say send it to FireZ, but he is busy as it is, now with his omm rank, we need a Global just for disputes in my opinion.

ok if he was banned he clearly did somthing wrong enough to look like a scammer or did somthing wrong in a major way its his fault that clearly he looked shifty with something he can wait it and and maby next time he will act differently

mods have better things to do then deal with crying banned baby's that want a second chance

 

Obviously you can't read or you don't know what goes on outside of the spamming forum

Because a lot of people lately been banned falsely because mods get in a rush doing scam reports and they make mistakes.

So not everyone disputing is "banned cry baby scammers" so get your facts straight before you post something dumb as that.

Try looking in the dispute forum archive and see how many people have been unbanned recently do to mistakes.

 

I will say there has been about 12 - 15 bans overturned lately due to lack of proof for the most part.

ALSO, if a mod thinks this should be moved to SUGGESTIONS then go ahead a move it.

 

Oh.
And when I find a scammer.
I report the post, then in the part where you enter why you reported the post, I put a link to the scammer report.
It gets looked at much quicker.

I will 100% agree with this, I tried recovering this account "jd 365" for over a month and absolutely no help... Its not the just the bans its the complete lack of inactivity shown in the dispute forums, ive been around since 07 and this is possible the worst it has ever been.

 

Ironically, I decided to give a few reports a go, and ended up banning the OP.

Regarding his point...The report a scammer section is relatively clean with only 10ish reports remaining. We're working on the dispute forum and it's down significantly compared to past months.

 

I hope he got banned because I found him out to be a evader
