That sounds fine. There's one freaking month almost till that fight happens though. How much you wanna bet?
Jones is the favorite but never count out Shogun.
Hey guys was right, it was a draw. First two were 10-9 BJ, last round was 10-8 fitch which equals 28-28

10 cents so i wont clean you when Shogun KOs Jones.

And yeah thats about right. Bj won the first two rounds and Fitch got the dominant 3rd.

However the second round could have been anyones, the judges probably felt generous to BJ and cut him that draw.

In all, Fitch was more likely to win than BJ.

What do you train in? I tried multiple disciplines half-heartedly and BJJ quite eagerly but an injury, illness and exams came all at the same time pushing it off from my plate. I want to restart again in the spring or put it off 'til summer and train rigorously in wrestling and BJJ as that's where my natural talent is before expanding onto other horizons.

I have studied MT in thailand for a few months, almost a purple in BJJ, and a good wrestler. I have a good clinch and guard is my specialty, I can hold my own on the stand up though.

I've wrestled free-form since a child and have always been relatively small and I'll be restarting all over again in BJJ (in the summer hopefully) but was a blue when I stopped training. I'm more comfortable on the ground and my takedowns are pretty amazing (not to toot my own horn).

My standup isn't mentionable but enough to setup a takedown and nice kicks. I'm pretty much done if you lock me up in a solid clinch. :(

I didnt really make a decisive call to stop; on the contrary senior year has just been extremely busy, especially first semester, so its been a few months since I have been in. Would like to get at least 1 more fight before I graduate.

Not bad man, BJJ is some fun stuff, just gotta polish out the other skills to compliment it ; )

Then its time to learn some greco-roman wrestling. Thats wrestling based from clinching throwing. You need to focus on knowing where you are in the clinch, what your advantages are and how you can pummel to a better position.

This is the magic of MMA, you cant just perfect one aspect and its a pain to perfect all of it because its impossible. Its like playing paper rock scissors. Even the best can be beaten, for example Georges St Pierre just from one mistake.

Randy Couture does well in the UFC even at his age because he knows where he is in the cage, he knows what is best to do while there. Hey, one punch could change the whole fight sure, but its not that easy head hunting without having your head blown off at all :p.

Yeah, I've been working on it but I kind of get tense and gun-shy when I'm in the clinch rather than relax and see what I can do. I perform mightily well on my back in full mount but for some reason the clinch just gets me stupid.

I spar with some other friends who're mostly freestyle but pretty experienced and the moment they grip and control my neck and starts swinging/pummeling me I pretty much tense up and freeze. If it's not in well I try to pull a leg up for a single or drop down for a double; this works for me in my small sparring matches and when I start training again I'll be working on it.

Ahh, i know what your having. I think your a bit too sensitive with others touching you in vulnerable spots. Later on they beat it into you to ignore certain stuff that may annoy you. Such as pushing on your throat while on top of you, smothering you when they are on top of you. and those small punchs/jabs.

You have to ignore those, while they do that stuff, they may not realize but they are pretty much making themselves more vulnerable. You have to capitalize on it. And yeah most of all you have to get used to it, your not gonna do well in MMA if you tense up on that stuff. look at Brock Lesnar, one punch and hes flinching lol.
