Just As Well Im Upgrading To A Quad Core :P

i am building my self a computer in about 2 weeks time mainly because of this:



the specs on this shithole are:
AMD turion x2 Dual Core
4GB Ram
32 Bit

what im buying will be:
AMD Athlon II quad core
4 (maybe 6gb) ram
and hopefully 64 bit
lets pray i can use more then 2 bots?

 

i got a quad core, same specs as you are wanting. I can run about 6 bots...then I start lagging. keep in mind though i have a gaming PC from 2007.

 

i can live with 6, planning on starting my own gold farming buisness, got cleaned on my staker so ive given up on him, working on my skiller. hopefully 99 cooking by march 11th (my birthday) then ill have all the parts for my new pc.

 

my old computer with around 2gb can run about 5 bots without lagging.

 

its not really about the ram, its the cpu that holds how many you can run, as you can see. in my picture only 1gb was being used of 4 gb but yet i was still lagging because of the cpu...

 

Get a six core AMD phenom / Overclock to 4.7GHZ.
Then get a 6-8 memory/GB of ram with DDR3.

 

Dont forget the video card, I find that it helps quite a bit. I can play maplestory and run 5-6 runescape bots on mine. I have a quad core as well.

 

Yeah, you know it's time to get a new comp when running rs uses the entire cpu lol.

The thread I just made ;3 http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1044295. try get one with hyperthreading (i7) it helps.. Higher clock speed obviously is an advantage..

 

Don't you dare get more than 3GB of RAM on a 32-bit operating system...the way 32-bit OSes are configured prevents them from being able to utilize more than something like 3.2GB of RAM. Getting more than 3GB will be a complete waste of money.

 

the VGA card takes up just over 1gb of memory so its alright im my opinion, i have a budget of just under $600 and will be planning on building myself an alright computer and will most likely start off with a quad core and eventually (hopefully) get enough money from my gold farming buisness that im plannning to make and upgrade to an i7.

 

I was running 4 sorc bots, playing music, and running League of Legends on the best graphics with ventrillo open on a:

Amd II Phenom Quad Core 3.2Ghz
4gb DDR3 Ram
64 bit
1g ddr5 256-bit graphics card.

And i was on like.. maybe 15% on all 4 cores? MAX? with the heat being around 39 Celcius..

And nothing is overclocked

So you'll be able to run 8 - 10 easily.

 

Oh, hey, just thought this would help ya out.

 

With a budget of $575, I built a computer with a tri-core 2.7GHz processor, HD 4850, and 2GB RAM (upgraded to 4GB for $25 more later) early this month last year. You can absolutely build a worthy rig now.

 

my quad core can run about 5-8 bots depending on what else i have going, it is quite nice with: 3 accounts with 99 rcing make about 2.5m an hour roughly 25m a day
