DDoS = Distributed denial of service.
Usually caused by botnets.

Yes it's legit and is done fairly easy, the dullest of script kiddies can pull it off.

DDoS is an attack vector to flood a network till it basically dies out..

 

You flood a network with tens of thousands of hits per second until it crashes.

It's also illegal in almost every country, and we have a zero tolerance policy on Sythe. I suggest you stop looking into it right now.
