Want to buy some cigarettes? LOL just kidding, try chewing gum or patches? I don't smoke so I wouldn't really know but this is what I've heard off.

What my aunt did was just cut down how many she was smoking every few weeks until she was able to stop.

How many cigs / packs are you smoking a day? Try smoking half as many for a few weeks until you feel comfortable, then start smoking half as many again.

Whenever I feel like smoking but can't, don't want to, or any other reason, I eat some mints. They always seem to help curb it

Use the biggest motivator of all.... MONEY$$$$

Just remind yourself about all of the money you are using on cigs.

Lets say you buy a pack a day. Throw away 1 cig on the first pack then 2 on the second then 3 on the third etc..I don't know if this would work well but its worth a try imo.

Well, the best thing is to promise yourself for real that you want to quit.
Having doubts and don't want to quit makes you wanna smoke again..so best thing is to be honest to yourself and ask if you really want to quit.

I had same problem too and I quit but started with Snuff ^_^

    @ iLike agreed on 1st
2nd Living a healthy life will kill you slower.
3rd Oh really ? is this what your mom told you ?

My answer is just stop smoking... Smoked since i was 7. continued till i was 19 so thats 12 years of smoking. It really dosen't feel good quiting, but there is only will power involved.

If you really feel bad when quitting try sleeping it off if you can. if you get the sensation of hunger, try eating something that wouldn't add to your weight too much.

As others have been saying, slowly cut down until it won't be as drastic if you completely quit. It's next to impossible to smoke a pack a day or even a pack a week and just quit.

Get you wisdom teeth out haha "that's what I'm going threw right now". Haha no but all reality replace it with chewing gum. I hear the patches work for "SOME PEOPLE" didn't work for me. What I did was went to the doctor and he gave me a prescription for this stuff that made me sick when I smoked and that made me quit real quick. took the pills for a month haven't smoked in over a year.

I'll try to find out what pills I was taking and post here. Also something else that helped me every 2 days I would put the money I spent on cigs in a jar to show how much money I was spending. I actually still do that helps me save a little bit as well =P.

Good luck man you will figure it out! Rewards are the best way of learning.

    Quitting smoking, advice?

Honestly, the only way to really quit these addicting habits is 2 things:

    Self Will/Determination.
Replacing it with a less harmful habit (Chewing Gum)

    Lets look at the positives.
    Your health will increase.
    Your breath will be better.
    Your teeth will be better.
Your life expectancy will most likely go up.
You won't be looked down upon by other people.
    You won't cough as much.
    You won't be shunned against.
You will save an ENORMOUS amount of money.

You will have a better life, and this is just to name a few.

Hypnotherapy works for some, it's extreme but if you want to quit then persevere.
