Mentally addicted to cocaine

I'm mentally addicted to cocaine. I'm dead serious, and I have too much pride to go and get help... can Sythe please help me? It's becoming extremely stressful on my wallet and I can feel my body like, deteriorating. I don't know what to do :/

 

Get some help bro the 12-14 yr olds on this forum arent gonna say anything really meaningful enough for you to just quit an addiction

im at where your at i was clean for 4 months but hard times hit and i start feeling sorry for myself and just stop giving a fuck and i slip

 

Go see a therapist. Like said above, not many can give working suggestions or meaningful. Hope your able to quit.

I'm uh, generally poor... I don't really have the money to see a therapist. I'm scared and confused and I just wanna get clean.

 

You need to come clean to the ones you love or trust.

Don't have any family, they're all back in Newfoundland, Canada and I'm in So-Cal.

 

Stop hanging out with people that do the shit and find something else. Breaking yourself of a mental addiction is a pain in the ass, but it's easier than breaking a physical addiction.

I understand it's difficult, but quite honestly... and I say this with the utmost concern... get over it.

You chose where you're at, and you're still in the situation because YOU choose to be. If you want to get out of it, you can. Leave the area, leave your friends, leave your lifestyle, run away, don't look back, don't think back... change. Don't feel sorry for yourself, when you start to lapse, do something else and take your mind off of it. If you think of something from the old days, ignore it and get productive.

Since you don't have a physical addiction, you don't NEED a doctor. You just need some willpower.

 

You don't have the money to see a therapist yet you have the money to buy cocaine? For a week try using your cocaine money to see a therapist.. see how that works.

 

You have money to do cocaine so your obviously not poor.

 

Go smoke cigarettes for a year, then just stop doing cigarettes.

You obviously don't know how inexpensive cocaine is.

 

Ive smoked for 3 years and im hardly addicted.


And im pretty sure if you saved your coke money you could afford a therapist.
Your not a victim here.

 

Did for longer and stopped abruptly. I was mentally addicted but made up my mind to stop and did (trust me, it took every square inch of willpower to do so and seeing people smoke didn't help). Now I find the smell and sight of it repulsive.

My advice is to move away from those who do it (assuming it's peer-induced) and possibly move to Nfld as you'll be back to have family support and many therapists/healthcare services are provided FREE to Canadians.

 

You're a smart man. I was about to suggest the same thing. If you still talk to your parents, move in with them for a while. Get away from your current setting, as it's obviously poisonous.

 

Counseling is a good choice, but I know that I would have never went to one. The best thing I can say is get a good support group of friends behind you that will help you quit. I can't speak for myself because I seem to be too strong-willed to become addicted to anything I do, even regularly.
