You can now register for the Sythe unofficial dueling tournament!

FAQ​

Q) Is there a fee to join?
A) Yes, you will have to pay Dialatic 2m to be entered in this tournament.

Q) Is there a prize, if so, how much?
A) Yes, all of the money used to enter the tournament from all registrants will be given to the winner.

Q) How does this work?
A) You will sign up in this thread, and I will setup the brackets. You will then have a set date and time (I will discuss it with you and your partner before I pick the time) to do the fight, and I must be there to witness it. I will record all fights to make an amazing dueling video at the end, and video logs will also be used as proof of your winning. The duel winner moves on to battle other winners.

Q) Will there be any rules?
A) The only rules are that there can be no visible Prayers being used, and no familiars. By no visible Prayers, that means that you can use piety and such, just nothing that has an icon over your head (including turmoil, protect prayers, wrath, soul split, etc).

Q) What if I break a rule?
A) If you break a rule, there will be a rematch (unless it was clear that you were going to lose before you started cheating).

There will be two different tournaments, one for people under the combat level of 100, and one for people who are over or equal to level 100. I will continue to update the jackpot for each below. Once we get a certain amount of registrants, I will contact you all and give you info, it will be sometime in the very near future.

Don't forget to use your best dueling skills, as the videos will be used to make some sick dueling videos. Please post here to register for the event. All of your battles will be randomly generated.

If you pay the 2m fee, and the duels do not end up happening, you will be refunded 100%. I have added 2m to both jackpots that will come from my personal bank.

 

Turmoil is a visibly activated prayer but isn't displayed overhead, can it still be used? (Proper term should be overheads). I will join if I see more interest in it, but maybe you could organise specific rules with your opponent and inform you about it. E.g. no chaotics/degradebles/range/mage etc..?

 

I guess that would work. The partners of the specific duel decide on the rules, and I just monitor to make sure all goes well (you must inform me of the rules you chose).

I'm hoping to see some interest in this.

Can you make the categories more limited? I'm 102 combat on my staker, but if I enter the 100+ Category I'll be up against 130's :X
