Smite on a gmaul rusher?

Nearly finished my gmaul rusher, with blitz etc. I'm guessing I'm going to need Smite for pvp, how much of a necessity is it? As it stands, my combat will be 58 with no prayer. Is 52 prayer worth being 60-61 combat?

It'd also make killing Kamil ALOT easier, lmao.

 

I'm not quite sure how this would work. Usually the 60 attack pures get smite. Wish I could be of more use but I really don't think it is worth the 2-3 combat levels.

 

Don't get 52 prayer, just play in high-risk wilderness worlds (unless you want to keep your g maul, but you said you're rushing)

plus, it really helps you staking, if you're ever going to get 90+ hp/mage/range, you can range/mage box at a low combat and basically win every time.

 

No, Smite is no longer useful on ANY pure

It's only useful for high level hybrids who are too lazy to get soul split, that chase down their opponents.

For 1 on 1 fights at edge it has absolutely no use whatsoever. You will never smite out a weapon.

 

This is wrong, you never know. I smited (smit?) out an ags just the other day, and a couple of whips.
It's not more uncommon than it is common though, if that makes any sense. It's just luck of the draw, if you're fighting an idiot who doesn't watch his prayer, or just didn't bring enough prayer pots (in which case, in their right mind would run/teleport)

Nevertheless, smite isn't worth it, that slim but sure chance that you can smite an item out.

 

It is not wrong, it's my opinion. I got an ags pk drop a week ago and I wasn't smiting.

Yeah but I'm going to take a guess and say that 80% of the people you 'smited' out simply forgot the protect item prayer. It's ironic actually because if you smite they are more likely to watch their prayer and drink pots than if you weren't smiting.

The combat levels are not worth it. You're going to be protecting melee/range 80% of the time anyway.

usually with gmaul rushers you want lower combat because maul can ko easier on them. whats ur current prayer level?
