How many bots could my PC handle

So I'm looking to build a new computer, and instead of selling my old one, I may just use it to bot for a little while. How many bots could a computer with the following specs handle?

Processor: Q9550 overclocked to 3.8GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR2
Video: NVIDIA GTX 260 896MB

It's no longer top of the line (it was 2 years ago), but it's still quite a beast.

 

Well I'm not an expert or anything, but the bot clients can be ran differently, taking up different amounts of Ram, (1000mb or 450mb etc)
I think yours would be able to handle about 3?
I might be in-correct though ^_^

 

WHAT 3??? i can handle 3 and i have less 4x less shit then he has if i was u make i would use RSbuddy and you can run like 20 bots at once

 

3 lol? he can run 3 while playing any game without lagging. you could run prolly like 7-10 if you wanna be on while your doing it. 15-20 is what id say.

15-20 would be extremely laggy, 5-7 would b a better estimate

I'd say around 7-8 effectively, My comp is 2.66 Quad OC'd to 3.00ghz, 4 gigs of RAM and it can run 6 pretty effectively, though more ram would definitely increase the amount of bots you can run.

Get DDR3 ram. Otherwise the CPU is fine.
You won't be really needing the video card for botting.
Most of the time, I take out my video card in case it fucks up something.

 

10-14 I'd say. I can run 3-4 on 2gb of ram and 2.0 ghz so with those specs, thats my guess...

 

10 bot would be a piece of cake with those specs... What bots would you be interested in running? FOR instance is you were using SoulWars only likr 5-7, if you were using SorcGarden... Like 10-14

 

While running 3 bots on my 2.93GHz Quad-Core i7 with 12gb of DDR3 1333MHz RAM and an ATI Radeon 5750 with 1GB GDDR5, I am at about 800mb of RAM being used by Java (the bot), and only about 7-12% of my processor is being used. So I would say like 10-15 bots for you

 

On my computer with AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.36 ghz with 12gb DDR3 1600 RAM, iBot (with max delays and 1 client) uses 2-4% CPU and 318mb. So, I could run approx 25 bots with my CPU being maxed out.

If your build had the RAM, it could run approx 27 bots (CPU maxed out), but with your build, you could run approx 25 bots (RAM maxed out).

Edit: The above number (25) would be if you had DDR3 RAM. Since your build has DD2 RAM, the number would be lower.

 

More than me i can only run 2

 

just a tip, open separate clients to run more, it seems to be a common misconception that running more bots on 1 client will = less lag but it is quite the opposite
