Need computer advice for botting.

Hey guys, I know a bit about computers but I'm looking for advice for botting.

What I want to know is, what are the minimum requirements I'd be looking at to run lets say 5 bots on a computer? In terms of ram, processor etc?

If so could you recommend the same for 10 bots?

4GB DDR3 RAM, Intel i3/i5 core processor should do the job for ~6.

You'd want 6/8GB DDR3 RAM and certainly an i5 for 10.

 

That's great thanks. Could I overclock an i3 and upgrade the RAM and get close to 10 technically then?

 

10bots? You might want a quadcore processor more then a dual.
Something like i5 750, i5 2500k(they currently aren't on sale due to a chipset error)note, the second gen i5/i7's have to have the K at the end to OC(Ie. 2600k can OC, 2600 can't, 2500k can, 2500 can't.) with lets say 4/8gig ram.

 

For 1 bot, you would need to look for something at with least 1gb of ram and at least a pentium 4 onwards.

For 10, i would even recommend an i7 with at least 6gb of ram and a 2.4ghz processor (at the minimum). You could however get away with an i5.

 

i5 2500k trades blows with higher end i7s in tasks, and they OC like beasts so don't underestimate them..

 

Of course I don't underestimate i5, but I'm talking in idealist terms here.

 

If you run multiple bots, I would recommend a VPS?
