So what happened exactly, i'm still confused about the whole powerbot scandal.

I was done, the day of the free trade day. I never used power bot, used rsbots.net. Still wounder what happened,

Was not recovered. pass was same, they just cleaned me out of gp left all my charms and untradables etc.

 

Someone from hackforums somehow managed to change the download link with an infected jar thus thousands of accounts wealth were stolen. Paris them blamed it on Jacmob and Arbiter.
Arbiter was respected admin, contributor, dev and scriptwriter.
Jacmob was the dev of the bot.

Oh ok so even if you did not have any there scripts, and you download the client again (updated) they would got all your details and boom rapped me/botters.

If you actually looked at the pictures in the video, 1 account he hacked had 2.6b alone. Just 1 accounts, out of thousands Y_Y

Yeah, if you downloaded the rsbot 2.22 which was suspected to be the infected one, it had a stealthbot.
Stealthbot steals all your powerbot/rsbots.net info, or the .db file. Everyone has one who has ran either of the bots.

 

Ah this really is horrible. Atleast we get to figure out who was really behind the mass hackings.

 

If the video is real anyway, they are denying it on there twitta. Still...rsbots.net ftw!
