Need help, made a dumb mistake lol

Okay so i opened my email and had one from "[email protected]" with the fallowing msg:

Stupidly after clicking the link i realized that jagex doesnt send emails to warn of offences, all of my valuables have been transfered over to a well trusted friend. what i need is how to locate the keylogger (assuming there is one and im just paranoid) and a way to get rid of it.

For extra security, i ask that my account on sythe be locked so that there is no risk that it be used to scam someone.
Please do not trade with "[email protected]" until this whole thing is sorted out.

Did you download or run anything? If not then I don't believe you have gotten a keylogger.

Anyways, I found 37 trojans on my comp by using Spybot Search and Destroy (lol I sound like I'm trying to sell you a product). It's free to download, just google it. It'll also rid of any cookies/trackers.

Takes at most 15 minutes to complete the scan, varies from comp to comp though. I'd definitely download S&D if you do not already have it.

i know this scam is just a on site phisher always look at the adress bar and look for https://secure.runescape.com

also dont ever give ur email out

 

literally just got that email. have checked all 3 of my botting accounts and all are clean from msgs saying anything about an infraction

 

and yes leaf it is connected to one of my rs accounts

 

Jagex doesn't email, they will send you an ingame message. I would scan your computer just incase and then just move on withit, be sure to change your password too.

 

Is a phishing site, if you didn't put your rs info after clicking the link then you should be good.

 

You are not infected unless you ran a Java applet or downloaded a file. Otherwise you are all good.

Run Malwarebytes anyway.

 

Phishing sites generally don't have malicious scripts running to install keyloggers / rats on your computer. As you don't get weird java messages either when playing runescape it would look suspicious.

You're totally fine, unless you got asked to run a java applet and clicked run.

These emails have been circulating through Sythe members email's. Probably, the link in the email was a phish attempt. Regarding the Keylogger- A simple virus scan would beable to detect any trojans/viruses on your computer, although if you didn't download or run anything, you probably didn't recieve a keylogger.
