There are about 5-8 phishers per day in the Runescape General/cheating section. Mostly, they're there for people to add post count, because most of this community isn't stupid enough to click on a phishing link(an obvious one, at least). Now, some people do, and most of them change their user and pass fast enough to not be affected. But... what happens when someone posts a normal link?

A whole thread of "PHISHER!" at someone who posted a legitimate link, and a legitimate subject about a legitimate thread in the RS forums. It took about 10-14 posts to finally realize that it's not actually a phisher. People see a link, a recent join date with low posts and instantly yell PHISHER. Now, if the phishers stop (or slow down) and people continue to actually post legit links, then this could be a problem. Just saying.

People suspect newcomers for that very reason - in the end he DID post a phishing link. Invalid argument etc etc.
