Magic Arrow, Senigira - professional mods, but ban system is a mess

Thumbs up for Magic Arrow and Senigira, two mods who spent their time on helping me with my problems. Very professional for moderators to communicate with users and help them if there is a possibility to do that.

Senigira - steam trader who knows how things work, so I consider him to be a professional in these things.
Magic Arrow - a person, who reviewed my case instantly, I didn't expect that.

    Big thanks to them.

However, there are some issues with this BAN system... Let me explain:

I have been a sythe's user for quite some time. I have earned people's trust by doing many successful trades, paying attention to their problems, being kind and helpful. This can be seen from my vouches. But suddenly one user decides to do the famous "unauthorized payment" or "it wasn't me" scam. I log into my PayPal account and see that one of my customers decided to open "unauthorized payment" dispute on me even though he did not contact me and he already had a working login information. I was scammed few times like this and lost more than 30 USD. I was angry and I decided to scare the customer so that either he closes the dispute, either he gives my money back if he wins the dispute. So I sent a letter to his PayPal address with a threat that I would report his account and steam would disable it then. After some time, the customer opened a scam report on me, stating that I had disabled his account and that he was a poor little guy being abused by an evil seller (me). A moderator came and banned me. He made his decision because of this:
    1. He saw a "disabled account" screen which was provided to him. All steam sellers don't even replace disabled accounts, because the user himself can easily abuse Valves system and get it disabled. The screen does not contain any login information, it could have been any account in the world, not even the one which was sold by me.
    2. He saw a screen of my email with the threat (mentioned above)
    3. He saw a transaction screen provided by the "victim" (yes, the "victim" proved the fact that he had paid me, but he did not disclose his whole transaction screen so that the moderator would not see his scam attempt with Paypal reversal)

Funny thing is that the "victim" himself said this on his scam report thread:
"My Paypal was hacked like a week before he mailed and he maybe try to refund" - the moderator found nothing strange about the fact that some random hacker tried to open dispute. The moderator obviously does not know how the PayPal works and I guess he doesn't even know about famous paypal reversal scams. Question to the mod will be: why would a hacker open an unauthorized payment dispute on the victims payment? Besides, the PayPal denied this reversal attempt to the buyer, because they found no trace of unauthorized access, meaning our "victim" logged in from his own PC and tried to scam me.

And that is it! I get ban, goodbye evil madafakas! I have 70++ vouches, like 1000 USD worth deals, and I get banned for 13 USD with no valid proof. A guy with no or few vouches is more legitimate than me? More trustworthy? No need to contact me and ask me to explain because the situation seems a bit fishy? No nothing, I got f***ed because a simple guy posted simple "account disabled" screen. Sad, I am really disappointed.

Question to the staff: don't you think that acting like that with old active and trustworthy sellers is a bit rude? I tried to contact the mod through MSN, he refused to respond, while other mods (mentioned above) were much more helpful even though they had nothing to do with this.

    Hiya,

first of all, I'll say on behalf of the staff that we're sorry for your situation, but Ill explain why it most likely happened.

As Mods, we need to make sure this site is as clean as possible from scammers and bad traders, we have various ways of catching them and its a pretty tedious task if I say so myself, Scam reports are very very annoying when you do them, Trust me, because we have strict guidelines when it comes to proof.

However, we also get alot of scam reports in at one time, so most likely a moderator has hastily worked through the scam report and mistaken the evidence for malicious, which to be honest, if what you say is true, I'd have done it myself. We do try and work hard and get everything right, but thats the problem, we cant as we are only human, but we will always try and fix our errors, hence the dispute section.

    Thanks anyway.
