The Market Lounge

I think the Market Lounge needs to be reviewed.

If you have a glance inside the forum, you'll realize it's original purpose to discuss "market issues" etc isn't really being fulfilled. It's being flooded by PayPal questions, people asking for scam help, general Sythe queries and other things that don't quite fit into the forums intended purpose. On the odd occasion do you find something relevant.

I don't want to sound too intrusive, but I think it needs relooked at. Whether the section is tweaked/modified, or if my opinion is completely wrong and it was intended to be there for floods of paypal questions and such, there needs to be some clarification.

It's quite fine, though we really need to tell these people where to put their help threads.

 

I agree in either modifying this section or clearing it out and adding a "Market Help" section. Either that, or keep it the way it is, and open a subforum in the Tech Help and Requests forum and moving all Paypal related question into there. Or some sort of "Online Payments" subforum in Tech Support.

 

I think this was exactly what was intended for the Market Lounge. Many users are new to Paypal / Online Payment Methods, and the Lounge is a great place for them to get help with their online business.

 

I agree with R2Pleasant, it may not be for the original purposes it was meant to be for, but for something better,
Its there now to help new people out on issues regarding selling/buying.

 

If so it should be defined where to post PayPal help; Market Lounge or Help/Requests (perhaps a sticky or section description rename) - though, I still think they all belong in H/R.
