America has had a dozen middle eastern politicians overthrown or killed over the years, including dozens of attempts on saddam hussein and a ridiculous ammount of failed attempts on castro (not that castro is middle eastern just an example of americas foreign policy).

Listen, I am an Isolationist. I think America should stop being the "world police", and focus on our own problems. But I am not an Apologist. I don't have all the answers. I can't tell you why we do everything we do. As for Castro, I'm sure this had a lot to with it.

 

How do you know terrorists aren't after peace? Can you name a terrorist that has ever said this? I'm very anti-terrorism but it is this dehumanizing that gives people blanket fear of things that aren't really what it is. If you actually listen to the demands of many 'terrorist' organizations it's along the lines of "Leave us, our religion and our country the fuck alone".

Hey, I would love to have peace. Have you ever heard a terrorist organization say they were after peace? I don't think it is any more right than you do for America to invade other countries, and I would be perfectly happy if we left them alone. It has to be a two-way street though.

I think the third point is particularly what I am driving at. If you had noted what I wrote, I said there are many different terrorist organizations. I completely realize terrorism is not limited to any one group.

Spewing media propaganda? Most of what I have posted directly contradicts what the media drives at the American public. Instead of telling me I am ignorant, perhaps you could post why? I am always open to learning, and am always willing to change my opinions.

i hear this all the time. terrorists are simply people with no other behavior to turn to as a means of obtaining freedom from tyranny.

 

Our immigration problem is out of control. I think we need to revamp our Welfare program in all aspects. We don't need to care for the illegals, if they're mexican, canadian, cuban, etc whoever they are they do not deserve my tax dollars to go and keep them fed and warm. If they were legal and needed help to some extent fine. But if they are illegal then no dice kemosabe.
