Risky trade for Boston..I guess they got rid of Harangody, Erden, and Daniels to free up room for potential free-agent signings. Green figures to be a solid backup to Pierce. I don't really understand the Celtics thinking though. Maybe there's something with the knee that they know and we don't or maybe they figured best to get something for him before he goes free agent and we may lose him forever. Either way I still don't really know what the hell Danny Ainge was thinking here. Boston fans always used no perk in game 7 as an excuse to their loss...well now they don't have him even anymore.

Jeff Green is sick, I just don't know how he fits into the Celtics system..

 

APparently KG was very upset at losing Perkins too.

Yeah, where does Jeff Green fit in?... And the same for Nate Robinson with the thunder, looks like he is gonna have to earn his spot.. Seems like a dumb trade.

Thunder made a decent move. They now have a big, defensive center that has shut out Dwight Howard consistently before. Watch out Lakers.

What were the celtics thinking though?

 

I think the celtics assumed that Jermaine and Shaq would come back soon and replace the void. If they were both healthy, they really didn't need Perkins, but the thing is, we're using Kristic as a center, who isn't has hard-bodies or strong as the O'Neals or Perkins. I like how OKC's lineup looks now though, yes you're right, the lineup could stand up against the big men from Lakers or even D-Howard, but Perkins isn't the biggest center around in terms of height.

 

i say this is a great move on the thunders part but they still do have to worry about a power packed western conference.

 

I'm with this trade at this point in time after the few depth signing they have made, and the very even more deep bench they have now. I actually forgot that we had Shaq and Jermain because they have been out so long until recently. Our Bench when healthy is extremely deep. Jeff Green can take over for Pierce/KG/Ray any one of these guys when they leave. This helps us in the long run, it hurts us defensively on the front court, but it helps us along the perimeter and helps us offensively. After watching the Warriors game Rondo and Green seem to mesh together very well. Rondo has that running partner he's been looking for. Take a look at Bostons Bench:
