40M/hr GLITCH (~1B/Day) - Creating GP

I'd give my left bollock to get told of these glitches few weeks before they're patched!

I'm surprised it went that long without being patched. Finally, a working glitch that we now know of that lasted quite some time.

Both, I sold some, gave a ton of it away to friends/random people and kept some. I have a main that I've played since the start of RS.

 

This was leaked publicly on an underground website not directly related to runescape although containing a runescape section.

I personally didn't do it as I'm a lazy fucker but I know a few people who have obtained a great amount of wealth from this method.

 

There were only a few people that knew about it until it was patched, if it was leaked on a website it wasn't until a week before it was patched, and at that point the person who discovered it had reported it to Jagex. Either way, the glitch was kept secret between 5-10 people for over a year.

 

^So if you new this for a year, how much did you make?

This got leaked on our very own guide section a while back. I didn't have the req's for it though sadly

 

Assuming buy his name, he sells gold so he would have set up a bot on at least 1 account.
And assume he's a cautious botter he bots it for 8 hours on and off for a day, for a year.
With an approximate 40m per hour.
That's (40 * 8) * 365 = 116,800 M (116.8 B)

Then if you account for things like several accounts botting at once and even up to the hours per day to something suicidal like 18 hours he could have made in the area of 1,051,200 M (1,051.2 B) that's using 4 accounts.

It's fair to say he made alot of money...

 

Ah bloody hell an actual glitch thats worth paying to know wish I knew this. I even started this quest but decided to get 99 herblore first before doing it =(

Thats it! I am now on a mission to find bugs like this. Screw 99 herblore -P You gave me some inspiration find some jagex fails lol. It seems there is always some fail that is worth finding than doing anything else.

Anyways though thanks for sharing you can bascially get rich in real life with this glitch buying party hats and crackers and rares and sell for cash lol. ^_^

Runescape can basically be like a lottery in a way if you know what I mean xD

 

The quest came out nov 26th 2008, and if my memory serves correct free trade was removed around the 2nd or 3rd of jan 2008.

Also, if the glitch has been around since the start of the quest you would have made a lot more then 40m / hour, since the week the quest came out you could sell the full set for around 5m street price.

 

Very true. THats just considering one one account. Lots and lots of money = lots of lots of irl cash.

 

There's no need to pick apart every little detail. It obviously wasn't discovered the second the quest was out. The glitch has been around for about two years.

So please people, stop persecuting me, I just thought you would want me to share this information with you. I hope I wasn't wrong.
