Apple just recently released the new 2011 MacBook Pros with the new Intel line of Core-i processors, nicknamed Sandy Bridge. They also added in new, higher power graphics. But one interesting addition is the addition of a new I/O port - Thunderbolt. It allows for up to 10 Gb/s data transfer!

Yes, the new I/O port, Thunderbolt, is actually pretty exciting and more significant than the announcement of the new Macbook Pros. It's like a USB and HDMI port hybrid on steroids; can be used to connect printers, keyboards, hard drives, and even video and audio. It's the same size as the current Mini DVI ports on the 2010 Macbook pros. I can't wait till this type of port replaces USB ports.

Exactly. This is a new wave of technology. If the other posters just took their time to read the article, or even skim over it, they would know I'm not just talking about Macs.
