My parents probably like to think I just sit around and play games and go on Facebook all day but I do so many other random things. Facebook and gaming is a small percentage of what I do on the computer.

 

I'm pretty sure the porn sites don't care what age the child is, but the child's parents do. It's there to protect the porn site not the innocence of the child.

 

More or less. They know I play games, they know I steal torrented programs, and they know I spend money here and there... it's basically MY internet since I pay for it and I'm 18, so they really don't bother keeping up with it.

 

They know I play runescape and post on some forums...they don't know I make money off RS though haha, and I'm pretty sure they think I only talk to people I know in real life. It's sad that I have to put up such a charade at 17, but thats parents for ya...

And those damn popups with naked girls on them always seem to appear whenever my parents walk in...

I go to college though so they can't do a thing--they have very mixed feelings though.

Incredibly impressed but also irritated as they still are not sure on the legality.

Unforeseen consequences: they are making me by a car rather than giving me one. I also have to pay for my phone bill, auto insurance, all entertainment, all college related things.

I am entirely self supported as a result of this decision; however, it feels nice to be the one of the only people who are fully supported at 19. I have to pay for college ($20k/year) as a result. I'm not allowed to take a loan either.

The benefits: they stay out of my shit completely.

Well they've never seen what I do on it ;] Even if it's just MSN or Runescape that is loaded up, I still shut it down because I just feel uncomfortable with them near my laptop. They know I do GFX on Photoshop and Cinema 4D, and that I do youtube, but they haven't seen my history, but I think they know anyway.

My Mum however being a control freak, wants to know about everything that I do, my social life, my school life, my online life etc. I never tell her anything because she always blackmails me with the information, well give me 2 options her choice or out the house.

In all seriousness though I moved out of my parents' house about 4 years ago so no; and my fiance knows to a full extent to what i'm doing on here.hell sometimes when i'm doing stuff on the internet shes sitting next to me watching a movie.

 

No I have my own computer so the internet is not at all restricted for me... Plus I am 19 sooo..

 

My mum knows to some extent what I do, she knows I play a game on the internet but she doesn't know it by name (Runescape,) she knows I go on Facebook and she knows I go on MensHealth since I buy the magazines. She doesn't know about my porn/folder with girls naked who I've fucked/folders of my ex with ~250 naked pictures. I don't live with my dad but he takes me on holidays twice a year, he wouldn't know anything about that.

My mum has never caught me masturbating or anything of the sort.

 

Well mostly but not hefty on the details, I live with my mom who is surprisingly smart and keen to know how I spend my time. I have nothing to hide and show her occasionally how and what I do. She doesn't mine as at least 50% of my time is perusing news and academia-related websites and she'll occasionally walk by my room and can see my monitor directly. Her main concern is the legality of money I occasionally make, which I assure her is okay every transaction.

Back when I used to watch porn occasionally, I never told her of course and probably never will.
