VPSes for botting - Talk about them here!

5 days for me also.

Well, I've used RsbotVPS and I wouldn't recommend that to anyone. Currently using Seerhost's Bronze Plan and running a SW 24/7. I've never used PhotonVPS before but if Hazenet doesn't respond, I guess it'll be a great opportunity to try

 

Isn't rsbotvps and seerhost the same thing?

And i'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that Hazenet oversold which is why everything is such a mess right now with them.

 

My reviews of both HazeNET and PhotonVPS:

My experience with HazeNET prompted me to close my transactions with them, Colin (owner) pretty much over sold and ditched. I get no support but my vps is still online, I wont reboot at all. It's a shame I used them for awhile but my latest order is 7 days late, I cancelled.
PhotonVPS has been really good. I get support tickets answered within 15-30 minutes. They informed me of Xen but still allow me to bot on their beam 4 package, When things slowed down after starting my runecrafters they even somehow sped things up so I can run more bots, I just had to submit a ticket.

Yea, I think they are the same thing. But my experience with RsbotVPS was just horrible. Things seem different now with Seerhost. Everything works and when the VPS was down for one day, Sam gave added an extra day to my service Can't complain about it yet. Still looking for a cheaper VPS though, or an equally capable VPS that can run more than 1 bot on my 1gb VPS.

If I ask them to cancel my service before I receive it, will they refund me or do I take it up with Paypal?

 

Very rarely will a VPS have a physical equal to what you are renting, the "super computer" is not real hence VPS being Virtual Private Server (Want to know more?: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_server)

I'm debating whether to go with something from https://123systems.net/ or http://www.photonvps.com/xen.html

Anyone used either that can give some insight as to what to expect?

 

HazeNET? You can ask them for a refund but good luck with that it may take awhile for a response let alone a refund, also I can't advise you on paypal claims sorry.

Do not go with 123systems, they do not allow RS botting. They said so many times and will cancel any service they catch doing so.

So with use of photon, you're not allowed to use OpenVZ But rather Xen?
Will OpenVZ still run bots? How long until the bots crash with openvz?

I use Seerhost/rsbotvps.

Flawless, never gone done, the 1 gig package works perfectly for SW. Plus, the client is already installed and customer support is awesome.

 

You pick whatever hostname you want. You don't need to pay for it.

And the root password is what you use to log into the VPS.

You can use either, they seem to prefer you use Xen, and from a botters perspective it runs more smoothly. I currently use openvz switching to xen next billing cycle.
Yes. Once a day maybe a few times more, for some odd reason I can't control. I submitted a ticket which probably wasn't smart but I got in touch with some good rep that fixed it up for me somehow provider-side. Bots have been running 16/24hr so far.

You dont have to buy a host, just put anything in the "yourdomain" spot - but remember fagex can see it, so put something unique and non bot related.

To bot, no. You can use your own computer. A vps is just renting resources for botting, some do this to free up their computers amongst many other reasons.

Yes I use Beam 4, if using the promo code the price is great. I get 5 bots easily anything more would be greedy and raise flags. You can probably put 6+ but I would not recommend it.
Although SW and Sorc are different in terms of resource needs. You will need 1gb for sw and sorc can run on 500mb. sorc = 1 bot sw = 2 bots etc do the math. Also DONT rely on burst ram, forget it exists lol.

So If i were to buy a vps to run two bots at blue drags on nexus, i should get warp 2? Will i get a lot of lag? Can i run another bot on powerbot mining iron including the ones fighting to get little lag?
Would warp 1 just run one bot?
As for the domain, would like ANY site work? Like can i make up a site called fwffe as for the domain?

I believe 1 sorc=500mb of ram.
