Military?

Hey people,
i was just trolling around and noticed that we seem to have a good bit of military people on this site so i figured i would make a thread where we can discuss our military careers.

Im in the US Army. Im an 11B (Infantry), I went to Basic Training OSUT at Ft. Benning, Georgia last summer, May 12-August 27th. suprisingly i had fun. i was a squad leader for 9 weeks and was responsible for 15 guys. i got promoted during basic from E2 to E3 and i also got Airborne school while i was there because i got a 340+on my last two PT tests and my DS's liked me. Airborne school was easy as crap but was pretty fun, i wish i could jump every freakin day.
Right now im in the National Guard which sucks balls, i joined the NG because i was going to college at the time and was doing ROTC to become an officer. since i got back i decided that i dont want to be an officer and i want to go enlisted. i have my conditional release pending right now and ill either go active or deploy for 11 months in June.

I really enjoy Army life and definitely want to go, and pass RASP. thats my number 1 goal currently.

How bout you guys?

 

Army fails, fighting for uncle Sam in a far away country and dieing fails.

The good thing is you learn some useful stuff.

 

yeah was thinking about joining the Australian military have made a decision yet.

 

Awesome stuff. Yeah, a career in the military has crossed my mind more than once tbh.

 

I'm thinking about becoming an officer and joining the Air Force Reserves to become a pilot after the military. In the reserves I can work as much as I want and they will train me for free.

 

Go Air Force. They treat their people much better than any other branch of the military. What would you want to fly?
