you should make another guide for the windows 98 operating system, as its much more different for 98. I had to go into control pannel and instead of going to system (which gives you just liek the date your computer was registered and that bullshit) i had to go into the java, go to one of the tabs (i forgot which one) and set see that the new path (1_5_04 er wutever) was there. And it was put there automatically, i jsut had to enable it and stuff. The only problem was, even though i downloaded the JDK thing, i am using the JRE 1_5_04 er wutever. Well, its working, so i'm not complaining.

    I still get the error

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: mudclient
press any key to continue. . .

And I downloaded Java 3 times.

Can you please maybe rewrite the guide or how to do it from nothing?

Well i have finally got mine working. For those who dont have it going, i want you to chack on a few things.
    1. You have donwlkoaded and installed JRE 5.0 Update 4 or JDK 5.0 Update 4
    2. In reece tutorial, he has his Path different than the default path.
    The defalt path is
    For JDK - C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_04\bin
    For JRE - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_04\bin

And make sure that you have extracted you bot. No bots work when compressed.
If something doesnt work feel free to try and contact me aswell and i see if i can help you.

yo i cant figure this out. i did the tutorial exactly the way it said except for when i go to dl the java, i can only dl jdk 5.0 update 5. dunno if that matters but. so i dl that and follow your path instructions and i try to run the bot. it says this.

    c:\documents and settings\my computer\desktop\sbot6.2\sbot 6.2>java -cp sbot.ja

    r;./scripts/ mudclient RUNPRIO.EXE
'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.

    c:\documents and settings\my computer\desktop\sbot6.2\sbot 6.2>pause

    press any key to continue...

lol what am i suppose to do about that...?
