Watch out for this new phising scam :)

Hey, Im pritty sure this is a new one as i only have just received it and this is the only place my runescape service email is public ( i dont mean my real rs accounts i mean the email i use for jobs such as skill training )

Anyway so i saw these email and was abit confused to which account they were talking about so i clicked it and noticed the bar was some forum(DOT)TK thing so obviously not real.​

Had me fooled up until i saw it lol, Stay sharp and watch out.

My brother also got this Email, watch out.

 

the font is wrong
the wording is a bit fishy
the email, [email protected], has never been used by Jagex

whoever falls for it is an idiot

yeah, i dont often get emails from the real jagex anyways so i wouldnt realy look deep into and notice that the font and stuff is different.

just thought id give a heads up anyway so less people do get fooled by it

 

Yeah this has been floating around for a while, they seem to be targeting sythe members with visible emails.

 

I got this same email! I almost used it too, but looked fishy to me..

 

I have been getting the same email, about 15 times now. Lol
It's all from the same person.

 

Ahh right well its new to me so thought i would post it.
but yeah looks they are targeting visable emails.

its my sythe only email lol so i would never get any jagex emails on it normaly so..

 

The best thing to do with these sites is report them to their host.

In Firefox go to View - Page Source - Find "<frame src=" And find out which host it belongs to. This person's host is rip way.

 

Yeah it's been around for a while, definitely not new. You should know to check where the link directs to BEFORE clicking

wtf i see all you guys getting phishing emails and i get not 1 , i feel left out
