Need help please.

ok so ive recieved an email from [email protected] a few times and jsut ignored the first couple, but i keep getting it, just wondering if its legit?

heres what the email reads:

Subject: Your Runescape account



Dear Runescape Player,

This is an automated email from Jagex Ltd., makers of RuneScape and FunOrb, sent because your account has been suspected of Real World Trading. "RWTing" is a serious issue, we at Jagex believe this has a detrimental effect on the Runescape community and so are fighting our hardest to ban accounts involved in these actions.

We therefore request that you validate & appeal your account by clicking on the link below.

Alternatively, copy this security code into your Account Validation form:

Your security code will expire at 03-mar-2011 23:02 (official forum time).

help please, is there a way i can enter a validation code on their website without having to click the link, cause they do say - Alternatively, copy this security code into your Account Validation form - what validation form?

 

It is an attempt to scam you. It's targeted on Sythe.org users by someone. Just ignore it, many others in Sythe.org have received it too.

 

This. Those websites are total scams, they want you to enter your details but we're smarter than that clearly

Got this same one earlier today.. If it was really jagex, they wouldn't say "RWTing" haha

 

[email protected] isn't used lol

they could had faked a real e-mail at least
pretty easy to do

It's a phisher, ignore it. You have nothing to worry about unless Jagex sends a message to your RS message box.

Apparantely its someone on sythe trying to get people with this fake email. Be careful

 

There's been a pretty active thread on this particular phisher. Good job being skeptical of it.
