    What I want from life

I've been contemplating what I want from life, recently. I came up with the conclusion that I could happily live my life in America (LA specifically), with a little bit of money for rent and food, some t-shirts and Vans and be covered with tattoos.

I can honestly say I don't want to amount to anything more than that. Then why does it seem such a hard task? Realistically it wouldn't be living the dream, but nobody ever does.

How can I make my dream a reality? I don't want to work in an office until I'm 60 then retire to America, I can't do that, I won't conform to that path. I just feel as though it's impossible.

T-shirts, vans and tattoo's doesn't even sound like an ambition. You'd get bored of that within a week. I don't really know what else to say, it might help knowing where nowheresville is.. find out what sort of job vacancies would be in LA then go from there.

There are agencies that can set you up for life abroad, get you somewhere to stay, have a job lined up for you etc.. Having a trade under your belt or I.T. qualifications is a huge benefit.

    What I want from life

Why would I need ambition? I don't want a career, don't want to be famous or rich. Some people don't have aspirations, I'm a burnout but I've had enough shit thrown at me to have the right to be whatever makes me happy, you know?

you need quite a bit of income to life like you want to in LA.

" I've had enough shit thrown at me to have the right to be whatever makes me happy, you know?"

    no, i dont know.

you need to work hard for what you want in life and not just feel entitled to it.

    What I want from life

    rhetorical question.

nowhere did i say i was expecting it for free. i want a job, not a career.

    take your negative attitude elsewhere.

    "to have the right to"
"nowhere did i say i was expecting it for free"

Rights are legal, social, or ethical principles of freedom or entitlement; that is, rights are the fundamental normative rules about what is allowed of people or owed to people, according to some legal system, social convention, or ethical theory.

so, by saying you have a right to something, you are saying you are owed it or allowed it for free.

to say you should have a right is to say you should be owed it or you should be allowed it for free.

your argument doesn't make sense? why would i be disallowed happiness? perhaps you're misunderstanding my statements or just generally trying to initiate conflict, as i stated i have the right to happiness, not the rights to physical objects. nowhere did i state i expected items to be given to me because i deserved them.

edit; and as you should of read properly, i said i had the right to be whatever i want to be, not have.

Yeah, I get ya.. you listed a few simple things, that's enough to make you happy. It sounds like you just badly need a break/holiday.. some time out, away from the norm. :)

Btw, do you play games alot.. and do you think you're getting a bit distracted from life because of them?
That's probably the cause of lack of ambition/feeling like a burnout etc lol.. honestly, some time away is all you need!

    Lol, blazinfast is STOOOOOOONED!

I don't play games a lot, I'm not very social but I have a decent amount of friends, this area is depressing and it drags you down.

Then move and get a job in America. Pick up whatever skills/qualifications you need then GTFO of the country!

It really is as simple as that.. believe me, my ancestors have been doing it for years.

I will, once I've finished my education I'm planning a year gap there tops, if I find fulfilment I'll become a legal US citizen and live my life in happiness.

I wish you all the best, I was kinda worrying earlier the way you said your a burnout, no ambition etc.. but it appears that you do have a plan in mind. Keep at it, get out of your shitty area and live your dream. :)

I completely understand why you would choose that lifestyle. I say go for it, try to get a simple job at a beach shop or somewhere that you can be social and just have fun. Just live you life, and I wish you the best.

Thanks for your support, what's the worst that could happen anyway? I'd just come back home if it didn't work out.
I know, it's so simple, everyone should live their lives the way I want to, although different people have different lifestyles.I don't want any negativity I'm my life, y'know?

You really should, why should life be filled with negativity and trying to impress other people? It's your life, ultimately you're the only person you should be pleasing.

that is extremely true. people waste all of their time worrying about other people when they should be worrying about themselves.

A good way to get a taste of the US is to work as a ski lift worker in Colorado during the winter. They hire a lot of internationals and you get decent pay, unlimited skiing/snowboarding, and you get housing. If I didn't live in the US I would jump on this in a heartbeat. Look up Aspen Snowmass jobs.
I know its not LA but its a good start.
It's really good to see that your living your life for you. Never lose that mindset man

Ever heard of the quote, "Life owes you nothing."

    It's true, It doesn't.

You've g2 make your own in life, most successful business men rose from NOTHING. The key quality they have which most don't is the drive. If your committed to achieving what you want in life then go out and do it.

However your... desire in life isn't exactly a life style.

It's a lifestyle I deem plausible, like I said, you're the only person in charge of your desires. I don't want to be a successful businessman, also.
