Pure Help | Melee Based or Ranged Based?

Alright, I recently recovered my banned pure and payed for it with the new reinstated account thing, I was wonder if I should go Range or Strength based?

Current Stats:

60 Attack
74 Strength
1 Def
31 Prayer
66 Ranged
75 Mage
66 HP

What I was going to do was this:

60 Attack
90 Strength
1 Def
31 Prayer
70 Ranged
94 Mage

But now I'm leaning more on Ranged base like this:

60 Attack
75/80 Strength
1 Def
31/44 Prayer
94/99 Ranged
94 Mage

Any ideas?

 

second option. u have the freedom of all the combat types

 

this, range is a better way to pk anyways, melee will only come in handy with kos and they are good enough at 80 strength

How many chins do you think I'll need for 70-90 Ranged?

 

I believe 80-99 is about 50k chins, so I would guess about 60k chins.

 

Well, I'm going to 90 for now. I bought 15K, hoping that takes me to at least 80.

he is 40 attk tho. 66 str 69 mage, 1 def 1 pray.
only thing i say...keep pray low

 

A little update;

Got 44 Prayer, went chinning a bit and I'm 69 Ranged right now. 13.4K Chinchompas left. I'm hoping that this 13K will at least take me to 75, preferably 80.

 

Depending on what chins, i'm guessing red, it should take you to around 78ish.

you only really use melee for a k0, so you dont need THAT high of a strength.

 

Yep, I'm going with option #2. Currently chinning to 90.

I'm going for 90 Ranged first since it's the most time consuming. I'll get Strength after. Currently 72 Ranged.

 

Second option seems most appropriate, but do whatever you feel fits your play style. If you prefer melee and don't want to range, then focus on melee skills.

 

Why do people worry about prayer so much? I'de say just get your prayer up to whatever prayer your going to be using. Also, the difference between 80-99 strength isn't as big of an advantage as high range and mage.

 

52 prayer 90 range 85 str

 

I'm keeping 44 Prayer for the time being because I never use Smite to PK on Berserker anyway, so why use it on a Pure.
