Whats the best way to transfer bought gold?

Over the last 5 years I have bought probably around 1.5-2b gold on my main account. I want to start buying again for gear upgrades but want an honest opinion on the best way to make the transaction in game.

The only time I have ever been banned was a 250m transaction and for the first time ever I bought the gold on a pure account that I bonded to use as a mule to hold and transfer to my main later on. This mule pure account hadnt been played in probably a year or two but had many many hours play time.

I was buying from a member on this forum, honestly cant remember who but I do know they were getting their GP from providing BA Services. I requested that they drop the gold in the wildy at Edgville ditch, they agree'd and the transaction was a success. I thought it would be safer than a trade.

I kept the gold on my mule pure account for 4 weeks, bonded the whole time, not actually playing on it. I was actively playing on my main account and was paying a yearly subscription for membership. Later I traded the 250m over to my main from the pure mule account but in items, gear upgrades and supplies ect.

Within a fortnight I got a 7 day ban on both my mule pure account and my main account. I had a mark against both accounts for a year, this has now been lifted and none of my accounts have any marks against them.

Now there were many firsts here for me;
1. first time drop trading in wildy
2. first time using an inactive many hours played account as a mule
3. first time trading items from mule to main

Worth noting
4. the 100m never left the pure mule accounts inventory for a month until it was used to buy gear and supplies in GE
5. as soon as the items were bought the trade was made from mule to main account

I believe any one of these could have triggered the ban.

For a buyer I believe active playtime contributes largely to getting RWT bans. ie large change in wealth on an account that hasnt been played on much recently looks more suspicious.

Ultimately if the Gp is being used for gear upgrades on my main what is the 'safest' way to transfer the gold from seller to my main? Are there any steps in-between the seller and my main account that could be useful to reduce risk?

Nothing is set in stone but generally you are correct, I've noticed the more time you played on the account and the more years account has it's usually less suspicious and they don't even look at it.
There is a reason level 3's that are 5 days old instantly get banned after a large trade.
I wouldn't do any drop trades as that is waste of the time, might even be more dangerous.
Just do straight trade and make sure the seller is legit as he can be, that plays a major rule.

 

From what i've noticed it is mainly like QP and total level/combat level and location based. The higher your overall skills/stats/cb/qp then the more qp you can safely buy/sell

 

one of my alts that have a 1900 total caught a 3 day temp ban, i have used this account for YEARS to move gold. tbh moving forward i don't think you should purchase gold for the flagged account.
