CVLS Pure Question

So I WILL NOT be going over 20 attack. Going to do Death Plateau for like 17 attack, then leveling it with a scimmy. The question I have is, what's the best weapon to train with? The only 2 options I have are Mith Scimmy, and Excalibur. But, I have no clue on the speed of Excalibur. Would it be faster str training if I do Merlin's Crystal? Thanks.

 

It's 3 levels, either will be fine... Since you have to do teh quest just use teh mith scimmy...

 

No, I mean to train my STR to 80+. I'm asking if Excalibur is a better weapon, to make my training faster. Because it's going to take ages with 20 attack anyways.

 

ohhhhh. uh well mith scimmy i think would be better, but tbh idk. Its prob be miserable... Id say do SW or have someone do it

 

Just grab a obby maul and berserker neck... Yes it hits slower but its hit way more often + a hell of alot harder than a mith scimmy. Mine is 20 87 1 atm

 

have you tested exp/hour with that? ill give it a run

I would recommend against this type of pure. Reason being is CVLS/SWH is really hard to come by these days. They can be more expensive than the originals.

If you insist I would probably go with the mith scimmy beating the obby maul

 

Well, I read a guide on an obby maul pure, and it said that the Slayer's Staff (55 Slayer) is as fast as a whip and very close to a Rune Scim's stats. If this is true, I think that would be the way to go. And cost of the actual weapon shouldn't be an issue, I have money, and I will be making money on the pure.

 

^^ Slayer staff as mentioned above is a very commonly used weapon by obby pures, i'm sure it'd work for you too. Try experiment around for a bit, because it comes down to you if you're playing legit. If you plan on botting it, at soulwars for example, the weapon won't matter. Xp/h will change by like 1k, max.

I hear the Mage staff you get from Stealing Creation is good to train with, requires only 40 Magic I beleive.

 

What siLli said, i'm currently training with a Sacred clay staff. It gives +50 strength bonus which is about 6 more than rune scimitar. I'm getting around 12k exp/hour at monks with 1 attack and 51 strength.
