Online/Offline bubble outside of threads.

Please take a look at this picture, and notice the status bubble next to the usernames.




This is a proposition I am requesting. I feel this will save time when (for example) looking for a trainer for your account. If I was looking, I wouldn't want to open that thread up just to find that the trainer is offline. I would easily skim through the couple pages looking for trainers that I know are online at the moment, because of the status bubble. This concept can apply to anything, really. Some examples are upgrade services, training, questing, account selling/buying, misc item selling, etc. This can basically apply to the whole "Market" section of the forums. What do you think?

 

I really like the idea, but I'm not sure how hard this could be to implement. I buy and sell gold a lot, and I can't tell you the number of times I go into a thread with the maker being offline. It's a big pain, and this would be fantastic if it was possible to have. Not sure if it's possible though.

This would be very helpful, if it was implemented market only... just getting to that is the problem.

 

I agree with JohnK, this should only be in the market, I see this not being useful anywhere else. If this could be implemented, full support.

 

This would out help out in the MM section dearly.

 

Really nice idea, would help finding buyer/sellers. A advertisement where the buyer/seller is actually online would be very nice

You can be online and ready to sell/mm on msn but you just don't have the sythe page open.

You can have the sythe page open but be afk at the same time.

Doesn't really help anything as there are 2 huge flaws in it.

 

First off, the online light is in fact NOT a clear indication that someone is actually online.

If they close their browser, they will still appear to be online until the session timeout since their last activity expires (15 minutes).

Second, donators and staff members have access to Invisible Mode, so this wouldn't work for them.

Besides, I imagine it would require a fundamental rewrite of forum code to even implement. Not worth the effort, sorry.
