Staker

I couldn't be bothered keeping my original account to make a staker, so I transferred my 65m wealth to a fresh level 3 and decided to make a fresh staker.

I'm still undecided on what type it would be, I've gotten 20 att and 28 str so far, any suggestions would be welcome.

 

85 Range 95 Hp.

 

99 everything no prayer = 113

 

Most people go for 60 Attack and 99 Strength. I fought a guy with those stats, and he pretty much DDS'd spec'd me in all of our friendlies easily (two to four specs mostly).

Note: We no arm'd + I didn't use Dragonstone Bolts (e) so I was pretty much at a disadvantage.

Have you considered boxing?

 

I don't have the cash for those skills and it would be too time consuming.

I have considered 60 att/99 str and it seems like a good idea, which is why I didn't get any defence up for the meantime, I'm not exactly sure what boxing is though?

You don't use veng. whilst staking. Just remember if you decide to mage stake, that means you will need ancients. And getting ancients requires that you train your prayer. So you will have to decide if you want to either melee or range stake only, or throw in mage staking too. An all around staker is really only good at maxed levels. Lower lvl stakers need to be specialized.

Good point actually, I'm trying to keep my prayer levels low at the moment.

This is right too, yeah. I'm trying to keep my combat level as low as possible for the time being, although I will get defence up eventually.

 

A mage staker is 99 magic, def, and hp. These kinds of pures can mage box the higher lvls and often can get them to 2x and such. Takes a little while to make, but often can be very profitable. (Not the only profitable way to go though)

Boxing is just no armour no weapon, no food, drink or prayer, just straight out whacking.

i've wondered also about best stats and i think for a boxer a 2:1:2 ratio is best

e.g 60 att 30 str 60 def or 90/60/90 or 40/20/40

 

Either go melee boxing or mage boxing.

Melee boxing: High ATK and high Defense.
Magic boxing: DT Quest, High Magic, High Defense

99 mage
11 pray (ancients could be lower not sure)
99 range
99 hp

Mage stake range stake or melee stake, just don't box vs defence builds your combat.

Whatever build you choose just don't get prayer it'll fuck everything up

Yeah I will be doing boxing but not entirely, I'll be using weapons on other occasions, yeah. It sounds fun, though.
