[HELP] VPS Questioning

I'd like to run couple bots, I heard that using VPS is much better then my own computer. So can someone explain or link me a thread or something that can help me understand how this whole VPS system works and where I can purchase one. Also would I be able to run more then one bot at a time so I can maximize my profit gain. Does using VPS slow down my computer by any means? Or is it strictly on that server so no risk of slowing my computer down?
If you an enlighten me upon this subject and answer the questions i have asked then i would be really grateful.

 

A VPS is (in very basic terms) a server, which is split into multiple smaller virtual servers so that more than one person can use it. It may or may not be able to run more than one bot at a time, depending on how much RAM you have on your VPS. The bot only runs on the server, so you will not experience any lag on your computer.

 

can you elaborate more on how you use it and how it works ?

 

Do you know what the program TeamViewer is? Where you control the computer from your computer. I don't know anything about VPS's, but some do not allow botting.

Just giving am example. The program you use to control the vps is the same as teamviewer basically.

 

Yup exactly, you need a vnc viewer. It'll end up looking like another desktop - just windowed. You run your bots on there as you would normally on your own computer - but you can exit the viewer and the bots will still run for you. Just use the viewer to check up on them switch worlds etc.

 

ALright so basically its a good way to run multiple bots and persian since i can see you have a VPS mind helping me out?

 

A VPS is effectively a virtual computer, where you can run multiple bots at the same time (based on how much you pay for the VPS). You can talk to the guys at http://www.evolucix.com/ and they'll tell you all about it and which packages to order. Last I heard is they even set everything up for you.

 

What they said, but it doesn't have to be a VNC connection. Most VPS servers can use the remote desktop connection, the remote desktop viewer comes standard on windows computers. The bot wouldn't be lagging, but your connection to the VPS may lag making it hard to see exactly what is happening in "real time" on the VPS. You might not be able to run more than one bot at a time. If you want to run more than one at a time you will likely be paying more than $20 a month.

 

What are you on about lol. It will not cost more than $20/m for more than one bot, you can get two for $10, and around 3-4 for $20/m, depending on what you're botting, I.E Sw, Sorc, etc

 

useing a VPS to bot sucks, its expensive and uses alot of bandwidth ...

Also, the bots you will buy will have a linux operating system, you will need to set them up via ssh acces, which basically controls the server's cmd. You will need to install via ssh, a desktop environment, java, nano, a vnc server and firefox. then install the bot while accesing via the vnc viewer. Here is a guide

A vps is a virtual private server, I used to use one to host my runescape private server. You connect to it using remote desktop connection on your computer. It is essentially a computer that you can use soley for whatever. ex - botting, or hosting a priv server.
