A woman is just as good as a man.

    Should women serve in combat?

No one is giving any comment to how men women think and how it affects unit cohesion. It's been said about 932780923 times that women can be just as capable as men physically, no point in saying it 2302485 times more amirite?

    Are you fucking retarded?

Anyway, I feel that by the time anyone has passed basic training, they would have enough self-control to overcome natural tendencies such as 'protecting the woman first'.

Similar to a study where police officers and the general public were tested under discrimination in their actions. It showed that trained police officers were twice as less likely to pull the trigger on a minority than the average person. That shows the huge effect training can have upon a person.

When -police- training could provide those kinds of results, I would be very confident that the squad cohesion in the -military- would remain fluid in its application upon the battlefield.

However, I would say that females should not be drafted under the simple fact that they would be much more reluctant to fight. Even after women are allowed into the military, I can guarantee that the mass majority of them [at least a greater percentage than men] would detest the idea of fighting for the country and thereby making them less proficient fighters. I also believe that they should have the same physical requirements as men. When you have to drag your wounded squadmate to safety, there shouldn't be any discrimination - I wouldn't want to die because a soldier couldn't carry me to safety.

Hell yeah they should be able to fight on the front lines! My sisters in the U.S military and I think she has every right to join in on the frontlines as guys do.
Btw I'm not biased, I had the same view before.

Edit: @2 posts above. A lot of the women are fit and can easily carry a guy to safety if he was wounded.

It is difficult to decide, but if you were to consider a football team why would you put on your worse players when you could have your best players on? Men are physically superior to women genetically, not in some cases but in general it cannot be denied.

In one hand if the woman is fit enough to join the army then why not , but in the other hand it would be 100% sure that men will act differently, trying to gain the woman's attention. I think the morale and discipline will suffer tremendously the for it should not be allowed. But that;s only my opinion

to not do allow them to join would be to help perpetuate a sexist mindset.

if it were the people who were against women in the army who were ostracized, instead of women, we would be taking a step forward in weeding out this counterproductive behavior.

In the United States, women are not allowed to be sent to engage in direct combat. They may defend if their posts are attacked, but they cannot be sent out with the intention of fighting.

I think woman can and will do the job as good as men, and maybe we will see less friendly fire on the front lines.
And to the people saying men are physically superior to woman, even if that was true in todays evolved military it wouldnt even be an issue.

    Should women serve in combat?

because it would be bad for the men of the company. our instinct is to protect the female. its a instinct we cant control. so we would be distracted from the mission.
    there is a old saying.
"if it wasnt for their cunt, there would be a bounty on their head"
    Thats my opinion.
