Okay well I've been slacking in school lately. My GPA is a 2.8. I'm trying my best to get it to a 3.0 but I'm just lazy but I'm trying my best.

Anyways my question is will I be able to get into good colleges with this gpa. I know I'll do good on my SAT. I plan on applying for schools like Temple Uni, etc. It says that a 3.0 is needed but I've searched that they still take people that is below a 3.0. I'm not great with stuff like this and want to know if my chances are good to get into a good college with these grades. By the way I'm a junior. I just feel like I screwed up by slacking. Now I plan on getting good grades, I know colleges like to see improvement in the last two semesters. Thanks.

Also what would the lowest GPA to accept?

I feel like you would get better answers and more help in the personal support section. I know that a 2.8 is not perfect, but as long as you have a relatively clean record and your scores are up to par with everybody else, there's no reason you shouldn't be considered for whatever school you apply to.

Depends on many factors, school, extra curricular activities, portfolios, recommendations, SAT, GPA etc. 3.0 GPA is the average, just make sure you do good in SAT or have a portfolio to back you up, whether it's pictures or videos. I myself might apply to Temple University. I have a 2.7gpa due to slacking off and not caring, but this year I've made a 3.8 gpa on my first two cycles, (4 cycles in a year) and I scored decently in SATs, 1700. About average i'm guessing. I have a great portfolio backing me up for video editing, photography, computer technician, graphic designer and filming. Try making your personal statement amazing as well.

Maybe this will help you, if anything post back or pm me as I myself am a senior this year and still looking for colleges. So far I've been accepted to four schools, all good schools with just a crappy gpa :D
